I need to get a Fantomas box set over in the U.K. I'm surprised that I have never seen people talk about the Directors Cut album on here (not been here long so may have missed that). It was one of my favourite albums ten years ago and has some amazing covers of soundtracks that i am only fully discovering the originals of now. My favourites are spider baby, investigation of a citizen under suspicion and Rosemary's baby but they are all stunning.

Yeah, I have the cd, ipecac didn't seem to do many vinyl back then, I know that the tomahawk box set last year was the first time their albums were on vinyl so I guess it is Fantomas turn. It is a fantastic album, seriously one of Mike pattons best, he sounds like he is having a damn good time on it!

Fantamos was/is a super group with mike Patton, Buzz from Melvins, dave Lombardo of then, Slayer, etc. though that doesn't really define their sound much.

Hard to believe its already been 10 years since I last saw them with Melt Banana.

I got to see them open for Tool years ago. Their covers of Rosemary's Baby and Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer got me into soundtracks

@monster whow! Melt Banana, strong words, that's a big noise rock band. I consider cell-scape a classic of heavy noise rock.

A Fantomas box set sounds excellent. That band hits all the right notes for me.

Are there any differences between the AMS/Cinevox and Capitol pressings of The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly?

Yeah the Death Grips is going to sell out real quick. That's why I was surprised UGHH was doing pre-orders.
I heard it comes with a CA licence plate too.

Why would I want a licence plate with my record.

Those of you who have not heard Fantomas - The Director's Cut album should check it out when you get a chance. It should hopefully appeal to all fans of great OST material, and there is no requirement to be a Faith No More/Melvins/Slayer/metal fan at all -- though it doesn't hurt to be one either. Mike Patton's vocal abilities are pretty legendary.

Urgh. Ipecac says Fantamos boxset delayed until later December.

Yeah I'm surprised too. I don't think it has ever been mentioned!

Now I can actually save up some money for it. The last few months have been absolute bank busters.

I'm happy about this too - I'm in the UK, and my local brick and mortar (who are under penalty of death if they don't snag me one!) say it'll probably set me back near a tonn. Strewth! But you know what? Director's Cut is pretty fuckin' high on my vinyl/OST related wants list....and the whole set will be HUGE!!! :)
