The monster 15 disc set they said would never happen, Halloween: The Complete Collection comes out on blu-ray tomorrow.

If anyone else was excited about finally seeing the Curse of Michael Myers Producer's Cut, or seeing H2O in the correct aspect ratio for a change, or having all the movies together in one big beautiful deluxe package...BUT wasn't sold on the $170 price for so much double-dipping...

2 deals that might lead to you pulling the trigger, that I thought I might share. Cause I love deals. And Halloween.

The first one is absolutely absurd, and there is little to no chance it will be honored, but it's out there. TCM, in an epic pricing failure, has copies of the 15 disc blu-ray for sale for $19.99. It's been up at that price for a good portion of the weekend. What does it hurt to roll the dice?

The "somebody's getting fired over this shit" link.

Here is one that is much more likely to pan out.

FYE seems to have the cheapest pre-order at $99.99. AND if you text "FYE" to 33733, they will send you a link for a personalized code for 20% off your order online or in store. Shipping is free, so you can snag the Limited Edition for $80, the best "realistic" price by far. Plus, if you have an fye membership, you get an extra 10% off (people still have fye memberships?)...

The "for real deal" link.

Because it's Halloween. Everyone's entitled to one good scare. And a shit-ton of Michael Myers blu-rays.

Thank you for that @basementhorror! I went ahead with the TCM order, just in case they honor it. What a deal that would be!!

The only thing I kept holding off on this for was because I just bought all the blu ray reissues from Scream Factory of Halloween II and III, plus the newest blu ray issue of Halloween...soooo I don't quite need multiple blu copies, but this set is too cool to pass up in the end.

Perfect timing too to get in the Fall/Halloween mood!

I did the same last year, but i didn't own any of the others on blu, so i'm ok with the double dip, plus I actually (sorry) kinda like 6, so i'm interested in seeing the producers cut.

I'm actually pretty excited about the producers cut of 6. I really enjoyed 6 even with all the flaws, so I don't get all the general hatred for it.

I wanted the whole set with the exclusive 'lithograph' (ltd to 500) but they were gone in a blink of an eye.

Anyone know if the 1978 Hallowe'en TV cut is reproduced in HD or is it standard dvd?

Pretty sure the Halloween TV cut is in HD on the 15th disc. The Halloween II TV cut is on standard DVD.

I don't know about you guys, but I love the tv editions. I watch those now almost every time when I put either of those films on. I like the extra footage...it looks so dated, in particular with the Halloween additions.

The room where they have a hearing on Myers getting out and Loomis is in there trying to plead with the Dr's to keep him locked up in maximum...just a great scene, great room, cool sweater he has on...love it!

The room (shape) and general colour feel, is that of a pumpkin, the draped windows as the eyes (a bit of Carpenter genius imo)! I really like the extended TV version of the original...particularly the scene posted above. Don't get me wrong, I love the original as it is, but I do like the more rounded and fattened-out TV version.

Just got an email that my order was canceled due to a pricing error from TCM Shop. I knew it was too good to be true. They don't even have the set listed on their site anymore.

mine arrived last night. its a nice package. each film is in its own black blu ray case as previously advertised. none of that book style format which is prone to scratching. (although I've never had a problem with those, i know others hate them.)

the over box is very nice, and the features are going to take a while to plow through, i can't wait to start. My only complaint is I wish there was a list of features on the bonus disc, which is in the RZ H2 box. But obviously once you pop the disc in, there they are. anyway, can't wait to watch 'em all.

For those of you that have this, don't forget to check Anchor Bay's site for info on how to get your replacement Halloween 4 disk. I'm sure no one here wants to miss out on that.

So for all of you buyers of this out there -- is this worth pulling the trigger on? I discovered that my wife has never seen Halloween and what better way to make that happen!

I think it is worth it, but it depends on your love of the franchise and what you already own. I like everything up to 6 and the extras are a plus. The other stuff is a nice to have for me. One of my favorite franchises and the Halloween disc is maybe the best out there.
