Some of you may be interested in this new project from Martin Jenkins, the man behind Pye Corner Audio. Bucolia is the debut from The House in the Woods.

From JunoDownload - "Due out in September on Johnny Mugwump’s dependably weird Exotic Pylon label, The House In The Woods is a name that conjures images of classic 80s Sam Raimi horror fims and indeed it seems like Bucolia will allow Jenkins the chance to explore notably darker pastures than PCA on the basis of lead track “Untitled Blackniss”. Available to stream below, the five minute “Untitled Blackniss” sounds very similar to the nightmarish explorations of spectral found sound and granular electronic noise that Demdike Stare executed to brilliant effect on their Tryptych of releases for Modern Love.

Heard that earlier - never sure what to make of drones, but sat through it quite happily so I guess that means he's doing something right!

Waiting for a-musik to come back to me on PCA's last 12" as it's a hybrid and they couldn't work out the postage till they got the discs back & weighed them

I too struggle sometimes with drones. But I really liked this. Liked the way the strings and music came in... Probably doesn't help that it's MJ, swayed me a little

Ooh what 12" is that? The new one on Dekorder? Preordered this one from Norman Recs last week. Looking forward to it.

Yeah, it's the Dekoder one. Pricey for 2 tracks, but as a one-off I can just about stretch to it.
Did you get the Superstitious Century 12" when it was out? Snagged the first pressing and really liked that one, especially when I sussed what speed it was supposed to be on

Dekoder vinyl here, I have a huge pile to plough through at the moment so hope to get to it before the end of the week! Looks lovely, and weighs a ton

Our Head Technician is certainly busy at the mo - an odd Youtube vid and a couple of even odder messages has culminated in the announcement of this rather odd thing, where OHT appears as Howling Moss alongside Moon Wiring Club and the Advisory Circle's Jon Brooks.
I've preordered this, although as the email I got states that it's due out on the 33rd of July 1923, I'm not 100% sure when it's going to turn up.

Very excited about the comp on MWC's label. MWC has been one of my favourite things out there for a few years now. Love his artwork, the Clinkskell world he's built & the fact his music is a bit sinister, but also pretty funny.

He's definitely quite a tongue in cheek chap (if you read the descriptions of the artists on the comp, that's pretty clear!) & has done the date thing before- I think you can take it that it'll be out around Friday. Although he did tweet about a trip to the "post of ice" yesterday, so you might get lucky an it'll turn up today.

The Asda Mix he did for the Wire a couple if years back is well worth a listen

Not got round to listening to The House In The Woods yet, but just popped by to mention that the everbusy PCA (who are also currenly hinting at more Black Mills Tapes)have done one side of a single with the Eccentronic Research Council with Maxine Peake. My copy arrived today (148 of 200, probably not m/any left), very odd stuff indeed.

Linky McHere on the offchance there are any left. It claims 140 copies only, mine suggests that this is a bit of a lie.

Picked BMT 3/4 up from boomkat yesterday, it was a nice surprise! Also after many a moon, I managed to get BMT Vol. 1 and 2 on blue/green vinyl last week for £30 from a kind fellow on Discogs. PCA rules! Long live Our Head Technician!
