totally agree, I have been hanging around all day waiting for this, now it will be middle of the night for us in the UK. Chances are I would not get a blood filled copy anyhow but its very frustrating that this has happened. Perhaps going forward WW will be prepared for popular release like this and work on a worst case scenario when preparing for online traffic. I have ordered a colour copy blind from Norman records in the UK now. Good luck to all who persevere later on.

I seem to recall this happening on Death waltz website when The Fog was released and after sitting there for most of the day ended up missing out after the site crashed and the cash in crowd ending up selling them on Ebay for stupid amounts.

A rare, cool item that will probably be a crapshoot when it comes to how it sounds, that I will never sell, and therefore never make money off its "value". It's not like the blood filled comes with special, improved packaging, or variant artwork, or a collectible Mrs. Voorhees severed head...

I just wish LITA would put up their pre-order. Solid color will sound best, and that is what I really should be concerned with...

The Fog, yes, and Waxwork's own Rosemary's Baby release were like this. Not too much you can do if the amount of traffic is way over what you are planned for.

Personally I think it's madness to be selling a super limited variant like the blood filled this way as it drives the flippers into a feeding frenzy as well as the actual fans.

Exactly, just make the obviously most desired variant the one thats most widely available. Better yet...NO variants, just choose a color and roll with it

@antimax - TRUE! sounds pretty great, but long term, i just am not sure i have faith in it lasting for my lifetime.

i think i might try for it if they tweet and i happen to be at my computer, but if not, i am not the least bit concerned. i'll grab any of the other ones that are available - split/splatter/murky - i prefer the split, but i'll be happy with any of them.

Well it does sound really cool, and since it's limited, it was probably hard to make a bunch of them. While I'd really like that one, or the splatter, if I just end up with the standard one, that will be fine. I happened to be around for the scheduled drop, but I don't want to waste my time sitting around the rest of the day. If I'm around, great. If not, I'll be ok with what I get.
