Stage fright is a classic, and the art work is awesome.

I notice one the sight it says clear vinyl but there is also a limited edition picture disc. Are you only distributing the clear?

Had a scoot around the web to listen to samples of the Stage Fright soundtrack (had never heard of the movie), having previously bought the Hardware LP...

The Boogey Man is one of my favourites from the 80's I have the original vinyl , be interested to hear this but would have to hear before buying a second copy as it is essentially mastered from something I already own ! But for those of you that do not own the original I can highly reccomend it.

my POTO should be arriving soon. it is shipping to me from OWS to the US, so it is a gamble when it will show up, but i am pretty excited about it coming.

i listened to some tracks from BOOGEY MAN and it pretty much rules. sad i have to pass on it because of no US distro. just can't afford the currency conversion and shipping costs. i'm sure i'll find a copy from a US shop or person soon enough, though.

That was my main issue with Boogey Man, as it sounds awesome...but these prices on records coming to the US now from Europe/UK are just getting to be too high. I've decided that if LITA, Experimedia, or Forced Exposure doesn't bring it in, I won't be buying it because with $20-25 shipping per record on top of the awful currency conversion, it's just too much.

Record shops must have the same problems. I've just seen gravity in Norman records for £40 plus shipping! That's $66 just for the record!!

With the Euro to USD conversion (15 years ago when I started exporting records to the US 1$ was 1 euro, those were the golden days of record selling — blame your government for spending too much money and fucking up your currency)

Let's not even mention shipping prices going up over the last decade. For the current regular mail prices, 15 years ago this could pay for Fedex worldwide two days delivery.

Those days are over, is what it is.

We try to get everything to Light In The Attic. Yes OWS is responsible for them stocking Goblin, Simon Boswell, Valhalla Rising, Daemonia, Cineploit and many more goodies you see on their site.

99% of the time we succeed but not always. Sometimes it's too expensive for them to do buy in's from Europe (They also have the currency conversion and I'm not gonna mention costs of freight) Sometimes there are not enough copies to go around and sometimes it's a matter of rights that the label can't sell to North American distributors.

Spence, I listened to the final mixes and it's actually pretty good. It's taken from a clean vinyl copy and pimped up.

IMO it's better than the howling wolf CD who sourced from several vinyl copies and added a couple of pointless re-recordings.

You'll be the judge, I have a copy with your name on anyway

Also, it's true. The original goes for bat-shit crazy prices. This is probably your only chance to own it on vinyl.
I have been told this is a one-off pressing that took years to achieve. 500 copies aint much to go around.

That being said, with the extreme expansion of soundtrack releases I would not be surprised to see another version popping up next year by some young upstart label. So don't shoot me if it happens

It all comes down to the two things that it always comes down to:

1) Do you like the music
2) Do you want to spend the money on it.

Not to get too carried away with shipping costs but I think you also have to consider how much you want a record against availability.

What I mean is, say you really wante Jurassic park. do you pay the $25 dollar p&p to the uk or not have it at all or pay the aftermarket ebay/discog fees when you realised you really wanted it in your collection?

I bought JP and the visitor and it cost me $90 in total but im glad I did.

Back in the glorious 'nasty' days in the UK, THE BOOGEY MAN was released on VHS as THE BOGEY MAN (Brits use the term Bogey, not Boogey) - if it had been released under it's US title of THE BOOGEY MAN, English folk may have thought it was a movie about disco dancing.
The OST is indeed pure original synth illness, as eerie as the film itself. My listening pleasure would never be complete without it.
