So the gravity variant was posted on instagram. Blue with white clouds/haze. Looks pretty cool. I'm really hoping I get this one. ::fingers crossed:: I don't have good odds with mondo, but maybe I'll get lucky this time around.

When Justin was asked if the blue and white was the variant he said it was ONE of them. I'll be interested in seeing what the others look like. I passed on gravity, personally not my thing, but I do love to see the art direction.

Just had this utter load of horse shit come through from Mondo.

We have been working diligently to get the orders fulfilled as quickly as possible. Due to a slight production delay, we are still waiting for a portion of the records to arrive from our manufacturer. It will take approximately 4 weeks to receive the remainder of the LPs and we will make it our priority to get them shipped out to you as soon as we have them in hand.

That's an 8 week wait for me now.

on the plus side it'll probably be ready when those Gravity vinyls are :0)

Maybe they're basing their manufacturer's shipping times (because if they were just missed, they'd be sat there, surely?) on their own...

An adventure 65 million years in the making, plus a further 2 months to get it in the post.

I think this is just real bad service from them, surely they must have known a month ago they didn't have enough copies for the online orders?

There's so many copies on eBay & I'm just pissed that I now have to wait 2 months for an album that's already been paid for.

The funny thing it's that they keep on showing previews of upcoming releases but they don't answer on Twitter to people who ask to receive what have paid months before...is that difficult to answer? Wow... and I thought that my job in a factory was hard... :D

People say mondo is great, but I find them lackluster. I'd happily buy elsewhere if another company was releasing the same soundtrack with equal or better quality.

I just think Mondo are not setup to cope with the current demand of their releases. I also think the whole process of buying from them is a lottery and a little on the unhealthy side.

I know mondo take some criticism on here but I mailed them Saturday about the faulty sleeve and received a mail today saying they send me a replacement one out today and provided tracking number. Excellent service

Well, it seems that for every positive Mondo customer service story, there are 10 negative ones. But that's to be expected, I guess. Their lack of transparency seems to be the main issue.

Must admit I've only placed one order with Mondo due to UK shipping costs, but the experience was good. Would be a pain to return anything if i had to!

I'm going to try to be polite here...

Alright mondo, you superbly organized, well dressed people, where the fuck exactly is gravity?

It is now 4 months since this was "dropped" and 2 months from when it was due to begin shipping. And no official update anywhere useful like on the website (you know, where you go to order things that don't actually exist) or here. I am not trawling every social media site on the effing internet for updates because you can't organize your way out of a paper bag enough to update your own bloody website.

I suppose when it does finally appear it will take you 6 weeks to ship them all because you have something more important to do than honor a fucking contract or provide customer service.

Maybe next time you shouldn't put shipping dates on your stuff. Just put "we'll sort this out when we can be arsed. Maybe".

Absolutely fucking useless. I can see why you call it mondo con.

Hmmm...the polite thing didn't go too well did it...

Anyone see their twitter post last night with a link to a job description? They're attempting to hire on someone to manage their record label and more than likely bring it up to speed with the rest of the soundtrack world. I would give just about anything to have that job honestly - to be able to take such a huge mess, and turn it around for the better...within the world of amazing soundtracks!? Oh my god, I would be in Heaven!

I'm putting my three year old forward as a) I'm sure she's more organized than they are, b) she likes soundtracks, and c) sometimes I'd like to send her to the other side of the country.

These and/or similar issues exist with every label here. The main difference is that the other labels represented here communicate with us directly or at least via email, etc. This allows folks to vent a lot harder at Mondo than they would at DWRC for example because Spencer is an active presence here on STBC, but if everyone is honest with themselves, there have been plenty of bumps in the road with all of these wonderful labels. Yelling at OWS can seem like one is dressing down Seb, but at Mondo, it seems harmless because there isn't that same representation. To be honest, I think there are a lot of opinions that don't get shared about the active labels on STBC out of respect and deference to the label heads' presence. That can be a good thing, but Mondo would be no different if they had an established rep here.

PS - Whoever does eventually rep Mondo here on STBC (Mo perhaps?) will really be missing a trick if their screen name isn't Fucking Hipster. Do the right thing.

Justin joined the forum a week ago. They are super busy trying to get records delivered and shipped he will post here.

Mateo is right we all have issues last year new york ripper and assault were delayed by nearly two months due to production problems , these things happen. Yes they are unfortunate . Yes they are very frustrating for customers.

He is also right in saying it seems harmless to be negative or rude when someone isn't represented here.
We all run relatively small businesses here and problems occur , just becuase someone isn't posting it doesn't mean they are not working around the clock to resolve those problems.
Mondo are relatively new to pressing vinyl (unlike Seb or myself that have worked in the industry for years) so they will encounter problems from time to time , it is unfortunate that they seem to have had two problems consecutively.

I bet they are horrified at the delays .

I am seriously thinking we should all kick in some cash and buy two record presses !

I have been buying Mondo releases from day one. I have half of their releases. I have never had an issue. Sometimes stuff comes slow but Im not worried because it always gets shipped.

I must say that so far I have been happy with Mondo. Except the time when I asked to cancel an order and the reply was: "May I ask why?" (I ended up changing my mind and not canceling).

Shipping has been pretty fast on all 3-4 orders - maybe because I live overseas and so they ship those first because they figure it will take longer? (I'm guessing).

I've also got a few variants. And other than my first encounter with customer service, my other experiences have been great. I recently wrote them about 2 covers with split seams. I sent a few pictures and they immediately sent replacement covers - even in (opened) shrink and with stickers.
