Anyone know how Sound Stage Direct, who is based within the U.S., can sell the DW Godzilla soundtrack...but LITA couldn't? Wasn't there a ban on sales within the U.S.? I'm not trying to complain...it's just that LITA typically has very reasonable prices on imports like DW, while SSD is definitely more expensive. Just curious how they could end up selling it after all...

No idea and I wondered the same thing. SSD does have excellent packing, shipping, and customer service. So that's a plus.

@ghostfires, I have no idea, was wondering the same thing. ElusiveDisc also has it up for pre-order. I emailed both of them, Elusive and SSD, and they both assured me they would be getting it in. I placed my pre-order with SSD so time will tell. On a sidenote, if you hold off SSD and Elusive will both be having 10% off come July 4th but I think only SSD gives it on pre-orders.

If I remember correctly, quite a while back SSD carried the DW version of Maniac, which at the time was not to be sold in the US. This was before the US version was announced by DW. So, I don't know how they're doing it, but glad they are.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd wager that it's similar to Music On Vinyl who cannot sell directly to the USA, but their distributors can. That's why a DWRC release for sale through LITA (meaning it's offered in conjunction with and directly from DWRC) is roughly $25-30 and a DWRC title for sale from a USA based trailer is $35-40 because they're being bought from a middle man (in this case, an internationa distributor) who takes their cut before passing it on. I'm probably wrong, but it seems, from a distance, to be the most logical explanation.

I wanted that version too but when i requested the "buddy assist" no one came thru for me, prepay with assist for them promice and $ on top... had to sit here and watch it go on sale, be on sale, and then sell out. total horsesh*t.
at least my deluxe sub version will be here at some point.

My sub copy and 1 of the deluxe I ordered for people arrived today. Have to admit, I wish I had a deluxe instead of sub, it looks much nicer to me.
