I tend to agree with Spencer, The Omen can be had for a pretty cheap price. If DW did happen to do it a deluxe version like Varese Sarabande did would be welcomed. But, if DW has rights to the Hammmer films I would rather see some of James Bernard's scores see the light of day on vinyl. The Dracula series comes to mind. Whatever Spencer and DW do will be great I am sure.

@DeathWaltz

Thank you. Thank you for not competing in the current trends. You very well may be responsible for a niche part of it. But instead of trying to "out do" Mondo or Waxworks (both amazing labels and this is not a knock on them), you are staying your course and following the road less travelled. Youve obviously brought alot of us vinyl loving horror soundtrack fans out of the corners of the world to create a bit of a community and to create a trend. I knew that there were other soundtrack aficionados out there and i was aware that people out there appreciated particular composers or groups that make up this particular genre, but I wouldve never guessed that you would be able to sell flexi records of the Silver Shamrock jingle and have it sell out. I have collected every piece that you have put out (except that damn flexi) and I love every one. Yellow may be my favorite release that you have done and I didnt know what it was before I bought it. I bought it because of the label that was putting it out. Thats ideal. I have a small label here in Baltimore, Maryland named Friends Records. I understand the pressure and temptation to jump into the ring and show off how cool you can be. I cant tell you how much I appreciate you forging ahead and pushing and testing the dedication of your followers. It is exemplary and I applaud you. I wasnt just being nice when I said in another post that Death Waltz is my favorite label going. I take my music and my record collection very seriously. Ive been working in record stores for over 20 years now and am a very picky consumer at this point. You have done an amazing job of picking my pocket by speaking directly to me musically. I am glad to see that there is this community forming around it. I am glad to see that you have good intentions. It would be easy to clean up by putting out a bunch of high profile releases. Thanks for taking the road that youre on. Sorry for rambling all over your message board. Keep up the killer work.

Finally managed to pick up my final two sub records from the post office depot the other day - and very nice they are too. Quick question though: did anyone else not have the usual subscription numbered lithos this time? They are the right records (clear red with black burst and clear red with white burst) and there are lithos, just no numbering. Wondering if it's only me or whether the whole numbering thing has come to an end - which would seem a bit weird since all the others are since the start of sub 1.

Still, lovely records, roll on subscription 3!

Mine weren't numbered either. I also had all the same thoughts as you, but just figured numbering was over.... ;-)

Ummm... just a question about the "Silver Blood-splattered" version of the MANIAC soundtrack. I received mine today and it isn't really close to 'silver' at all, it's just a dull grey. Did I get a dud? I expected it to be more of a silver-look (ie. the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion "Orange" album) - the pic on the site certainly looks like it's shiny, but mine is just grey with some light red splatters in it. Am I alone?

It's called "Metallic Silver". The color of the vinyl is metallic/grey. I think maybe the Silver part refers to the silver foil cover?

Lee,

Still don't have your email - just to say (as I didn't get a chance to on Saturday) your ifots set was "winning"! You must have tiger's blood.

My Maniac showed up the other day and it looks awesome!
Only thing is the record is insanely snug in the jacket and arrived with the black inner sleeve all crunched up :(
That aside though the metallic effect on the cover is fantastic, the artwork is fantastic, the colour of the record is fantastic and the sound quality is fantastic.
Fantastic!

It does indeed say "Metallic Silver", but the description goes on to say "silver steel 180 gram vinyl" and - more to the point - the picture of the vinyl on the site shows a shiny, reflective silver LP, not a dull grey one with NO metallic effect whatsoever (which is what I received).
Did anyone else get one that is dull grey in colour? I just want to know if mine is a dud or if it's supposed to be this way.

Mines the same as you've explained but I expected it that way as it looks gray on the image.

Also is it just me or is there a track title missing on the track listings?
3rd track side B think it's called Haze?
