I think the audio quality is pretty good actually. It does mirror the expanded 20th anniversary CD soundtrack release, but I've never been able to find an answer as to whether it was lifted directly from the CDs or just the same source materials. Carpenter, if memory serves (too lazy to dig up my old disk ), approved the expanded anniversary release so apparently he liked the dialog in there. I, however, prefer it without. It works in spots, but overall it's not my cup of tea. I have an original pressing as well and that is dialog free.
