Incredible classical-rock-psych masterpiece from ‘70, very sought after original 1972 CBS vinyl release.
Been playing this a lot this week. I’ve kept an eye out for years for any sign of a reissue and it does look like Mercury/UMG France are releasing it next month on either black or white vinyl

Wild LP from ‘81 by guitarist Takanaka, a sort of fantasy concept double album with dramatic orchestral, uptempo disco-pop and cheesy funk restaurant music, all interspersed with Tolkein-esque passages by a pair of very well spoken British narrators. Odd (and catchy) to say the least, but exactly the sort of thing coming out of Japan in that period.

This one is so fun. Was my first introduction to Takanaka

Just arrived, fantastic 2nd album by Athens, GA band (contemporaries of REM and B52s). I used to have the original pressing but seems it’s lost/an unscrupulous ex- made off with it at some point. Very happy to discover this repress with exact replica of original sleeve/insert, including serrated ‘chomp’ cutout along top edge of jacket.
