That BoC 12" is amazing. Amazingly absurd.

And here was me feeling slightly guilty about bloffing 32 quid on a Mark Lanegan single this week.

The BoC thing last year was utterly brilliant though - that's how you publicise a new record. It's just a bit of a shame that they bottled it with the last bit where you had to work out the code and just went "sod it, it's this..." about 40 minutes later :)

To be fair chaps, you do get 20 seconds of music...

Any predictions? I'm guessing £1500, BUT from a non-paying bidder.

Yeah loved their marketing campaign last year, loads of fun. Unusually, the album also lived up to the hype, so it was all good.

Have to agree with RC, having had the cds for years, the Loops box was a no-brainer and I was extremely happy with it. Really nicely done and worth every penny (or dollars should I say, as it was less expensive to get it shipped direct from the producer in US than to buy it in the UK!)

Recently paid €170 ($235) for PIERO UMILIANI Lost & Found Volume III: The Ambient Records from HERE
God knows where they found these nearly new originals but (and here comes the wax addict justification) they would cost a lot more to buy separately buying the lowest priced individuals from discogs. And of course the music is sublime.

^^Woah, what's this! I'm checking that asap.

Oiche, have you listed your collection on Discogs? I think we have pretty similar tastes - I'm always looked for obscure ambient, early electronic stuff, so maybe I can discover a few things...

I have listed about a third RC (3700) and will at some point, when I have a spare week, list the rest! :)

Finished at £1220.00
Good news for the couple who sold it, best of luck to whoever bought it as unless it's a museum or suchlike, it's not the greatest investment/audio experience they're ever going to make.

This one blows me away as well. Lots of people are paying crazy prices for it.
1. It is a RSD First, which means it will get repressed
2. It is glow vinyl, and sounds like it.
3. It is the same song, 4 times.

A buddy of mine dug up a copy of a Molimo acetate in a barn in upstate NY a while back. Molimo was a predecessor to KISS featuring Ace Frehley. These tracks never saw the light of day until now. The acetate ended up selling for quite a bit yesterday actually.

You Can read more about it HERE.

haha, saw this yesterday and posted it in the ebay/discogs heads up thread.

Pretty funny - it doesn't even come with free shipping! That's a deal-breaker for me.

I think the highest I paid was 375.00 for a Bad Religion box set. I won't pay that much for a record maybe $50 or $60.

That's crazy $5000 for any record. This Shaggs album was repressed in the mid 1990's, and those bring $200 or so. Might be the most ludicrous album ever recorded. It's so bad, it's just bad!

Oiche tipped:
PIERO UMILIANI Lost & Found Volume III: The Ambient Records

soundohm seems to have found a couple more copies! I snagged one and they still list it as in stock.
