I think 'Salem's Lot was my first King book as well (also never noticed the apostrophe at the beginning)

Starting this tonight. Short stories by the director of “Phantasm,” with the film characters as the story characters.

Revisting this Paperbacks From Hell 80's horror. Robert McCammons 2nd book written, but 3rd published. I'm enjoying this more now than I did when I first read it back in the 80s. McCammon is one of my favorite authers and I own multiple copies of several of his books. I like the original paperback art the most.
1990 Kinnell UK Hardcover (first hardcover edition)
2013 Subterranean Press Signed Limited (750 copies)
original 1980 Avon paperback

Every one of those covers is absolutely killing it and makes me want to dive into McCammon

This version shows up occasionally at a used bookstore I frequent. I've been able to resist it so far. Three editions is enough. :)

Ohhh how I love Swan Song. I'll be revisting that one too at some point. I finished the Matthew Corbett series last year and I plan on revisiting many of his earlier works this year.

I've never seen that Kinnel UK cover but yeah, three covers seems like enough! I rarely run into anyone that reads Mccammon, the next one I've lined up to read is Usher's Passing.

I remembr really enjoying Usher's Passing. Another I want to revisit. I don't remember too much about it but there are a few scenes that I remember that stand out to me.

If you can find it, "Mine" is also a really good one. Moves really quickly but there should be a warning on that opening chapter....

I read Mine last year! I had a stack of pbs just reading first pages to find my next read and that first chapter just shocked me into submission and I never put it down. They Thirst and BAAL are also ready to go...

"shocked me into submission" LOL, I love that.

I've read all his books, some are better than other, but all worth reading. He's one of my all time favorite authors and right up there with King for me.

Currently reading...
Not sure how far I will get with this. I'm really not into Science Fiction when it comes to reading. Don't mind the movies but reading is different for me. This one ( along with several others) came to me through a Subterranean Grab Bag. $50 for 10 books. Most were Sci-Fi anthologies. I'm about 7 stories in on this one. Some have been harder to get through than others. I wont waste more than a week with this book. Too many others on the shelf.

About half way through this re-read of a 1979 Paperback from Hell
I love this cover and it's one reason I've held onto this book for so long. I'm enjoying it but not as much as I did reading it in my early years.

Really enjoying this thread recently 🤓

I’ve had a few things on the go - I finished the excellent Turn My Head Into Sound about the band my bloody valentine/Kevin Shields, and am now enjoying picking up where I left off with Heat 2 - excited that the film is happening!
