Scott thanks for clearing all that up and interesting facts. What I find interesting is that back then some films just used songs without getting approvel first...that seems crazy to me. I know Mean streets had that problem with using Be my baby.

It was the wild west! 🀠

Yes, although I think sometimes with real low budget productions at that time it can be the case that they were only thinking about their theatrical release so secured initial limited music rights, not thinking ahead (or even realising sometimes in those very early days of home video) that additional rights clearance deals would be needed for the video release.

Synapse has a new 4K UHD Limited Edition of The Deadly Spawn coming this week I believe, I was pretty excited about that until I saw it was going to be $75+shipping. I'll be waiting for a digital copy to show up online and just watch it that way

Vinegar Syndrome put up a new 4K UHD Larry Fessenden vol 1 collection this past week which features Habit and No Telling. I love Habit, I think No Telling might be the only Fessenden film I haven't seen which I believe was his first

We are doing Asian Horror theme for our October programming this year. We will never be able to watch 30 movies as it's my wife's busy season at work but we try to squeeze in as many as we can. There's close to 40 films on the list with a side list of Jiangshi Hopping Vampires films, list also includes some horror I just want to revisit like Poltergeist, Bliss, Eaten Alive & The Blob ('88)
