I embarked on a wild triple bill this weekend. Kudos if you get the connection.

I watched Red Rooms this weekend, highly recommended for those into thrillers & serial killer courtroom stuff. I believe it's a $6 rental on Amazon at the moment

Also rewatched Idle Hands, such a goofy film I've had a soft spot for since it came out. I couldn't find my DVD so I had to order the Scream Factory bluray

Is the link Getty?

I haven't seen The Evil Within. All the Money in the world was okay. But a bit long if I remember correctly.
And Lost Highway is a masterpiece.

None of the movies have Kevin Spacey in them? :)

You Getty’d it, Bez.

The Evil Within was a ‘passion’ project made over a number of years by Balthazar’s uncle Andrew Getty. It is quite….. unique! I can’t say I recommend it exactly (I’m especially drawn myself to oddball ‘outsider’ art) but it is a quite disturbing blend of subject matter and personal demons seemingly being aired out - he throw a bunch of his own inheretence at it to fund decent production values and ambitious (but truly strange) digital effects. It’s like a very well funded home movie, somehow reminiscent of The Cell at times… with Michael Berryman!

Fuck it- I recommend it, to the adventurous only though ;)

Oh and fyi- the kidnapped/ear-lopped Getty of All the Money…. is Balhazar’s father.

@scojo I watched a film last night that I feel like is very much in your wheelhouse, was wondering if you had seen it before

Norway / Norvigia - 2014 vampire film from Greece

Is this the one also released on Blu-ray by TV?

I just finished this one from Fred Olen Ray.
Really liked it. For me just the right amount of silliness.

Always been very intrigued by this, the world’s first 100% split-screen slasher! Is it giving De Palma vibes? Or The Boston Strangler? Have read very mixed things.

What a blast, wish Larry had also directed it though, wonder why he didn’t? I seem to be shockingly oblivious to Maniac Cop lore.

Next up: a seasonal tradition….

I had to look this up, yes it looks like they did release it on bluray. My wife actually heard about it through a podcast she was listening to, I was completely clueless to it prior to watching. I'll be honest I don't pay attention to 90% of TV's bluray stuff as so much of it is just stuff I'm not gonna pay $30 blindly for and they pump out so much in a year

And thanks to Dark Half, I am now deciding on a thematic follow up rewatch. (Maybe Mr D was trying to tell us something with this one?)

Watched The Substance tonight, fucking hell that was nuts. I knew very little about it other than everyone has been raving about it.

Looking forward seeing that one. Want to watch it with the misses but that will probably take a while.

First watch.
