Haruomi Hosono - N.D.E.

This just went up for pre-order at a few places (LITA, Rough Trade, etc) seems like Dusty Groove has it for the cheapest state side. First time on vinyl

https://www.dustygroove.com/item/140409 ... Hosono:NDE

This is Hosono experimenting with 90's electronic music stylings, you get some house style tracks in here. Overall it's really good and recommended if you're a fan of his and electronic music.

New D.A.L.I. album just dropped from u-Super records (Burning Tapes new label)

https://usuper.bandcamp.com/album/the-medusa-sessions

D.A.L.I. is Deadly Avenger & Luke Insect

I was a big fan of their last release on BWR. I will likely grab this if it hits stateside for less than $40 but I just don't feel like spending $55 on a single LP so I'll be skipping direct from the label unfortunately.

I'm sure people who care about this already know but figured I'd still post it just in case

Prince - Diamonds & Pearls
Remastered and Reissued

https://store.prince.com/dept/diamonds- ... 229_103238

Similar to the Sign O the Times release there are multiple versions

12 LP + Bluray Boxset - $350
4LP - $80
2LP - $50/$40

I opted for the 4LP set as I want those two extra discs. I absolutely love this album and have been impatiently waiting for a reissue, OG copies are a bit out of my price range.

New release from Four Flies that was announced a few weeks back

Dressel Amorosi - Spectrum

https://fourfliesrecords.bandcamp.com/album/spectrum

US preorder - https://www.dustygroove.com/item/161852 ... der=artist

Limited edition LP Vinyl Black w/ tip-on jacket

The new album from Italian duo Dressel Amorosi, comprising Federico Amorosi and Valerio Lombardozzi, is a fervent homage to the realm of Italian soundtracks and library music from the late '70s and early '80s. Navigating effortlessly through a spectrum of scenarios and atmospheres, it conjures up vivid images of action-packed sequences, wistful retro vibes, chic party scenes, and hair-raising horror chills.

With a refined, contemporary flair, Spectrum celebrates early '80s cinema and its unmistakable aesthetics, steering clear of any trace of nostalgia. It weaves together elements of synth-pop, jazz-prog, electric fusion, and chill-funk across its seven compelling tracks, reimagining the past through a contemporary lens.

Compared to their previous, strictly horror-themed album, here Dressel Amorosi broaden their musical and cinematic palette, adding ingredients from the giallo, sexy thriller, comedy, and crime genres.

Some listeners have preferred the CD/digital over vinyl for this one in the past due the quiet nature of the tracks, but will likely need a fresh evaluation of this pressing.

Yeah the 1972 pressing is also notoriously bad. 4LP for $50 is a steal and it's one of the my favorite albums from him. Hopefully we get Drukqs next

I did not pick up those 1972 reissues. I have two copies of the original 1994 vinyl. One on black and one of the numbered brown vinyl releases. I always preferred the black vinyl pressing and it’s been heavily played and mixed over the years. I also have a copy of Drukqs that I bought when originally released that is in the same boat. I kept a couple of those 12”s in my DJ bag for years as they saw constant play. The oversized box for Drukqs was ridiculous and I had it displayed as artwork in my home as it did not fit anywhere with my LP storage. I ended up misplacing and losing it during a house move.

was reading a bit of discourse over this new reissue yesterday. How they completely removed any acknowledgment of Stephen Thrower being part of the band at this point in time and how he's responsible for their connection with Clive. Also a lot of folks were shitting on the bonus tracks how they have nothing to do with this release at all as they come from the dude who joined the band in the mid 90s after Thrower left. Kind of a weird little history lesson on it for me
