It finally arrived!

I have listened through twice so far and absolutely love it. If it's rainy this weekend I will probably sit down and try to do a comparison between the original score and this new rendition.

As per usual jacket design and art is stellar

*edit: The liner notes are great. What an excellent release. The pressing sounds wonderful. I am a bit disappointed in myself that I did not already have this in my collection on CD.

Libra - Shock

Well this was a pleasant surprise. A few weeks ago a copy popped up stateside for $60 which as some of you know is pretty cheap for this. Currently the cheapest copy for sale is €150. Well I have had a few other expenses lately and $60 wasn't in the budget but I kept the tab open in my browser just so I could see if it sold. It actually sat for 2 weeks and then they dropped it to $40 so I hit the buy button. Listed as VG/VG, the jacket as you can see is pretty beat up but no serious tears or damage. The record has no scratches on it, it's really scuffed up but doesn't seem to effect the playback. Very happy with this copy for the price, it's not often I add something like this to the collection.

Wow! Very nice one! And I agree with @Deaf about the vintage look. It suits it very well.

Very nice Static.

I am absolutely hammering this new arrival this morning, which came on my radar very recently and, despite being a highly sought after crate-digger platter I luckily grabbed a reissue from a few years back that's fairly easy to get.

Very Alessandroni/Morricone/Sorghini vibes for this score to the 1970 Western also known as 'The Animals', amazingly the work of Mr Rupert Holmes... yes, the 'Pina Colada Song' guy! And it's a stonker - filled with percussive breaks, strings, fuzzed guitars - and avant garde Garson-esque modular synth-outs!! (check out 'Feast of the Coyote!') You Soul/Hip-Hop heads can fill me in on the no-doubt multitude of times it's been sampled.
