How is the Goblin Rarities one?

I have been ill for over a week. Some sort of flu or cold. Feeling a bit better now. At least well enough to go to work again. Which for me means today I have a laptop on my lap and am able to listen to records.

How is the Goblin Rarities one?

I did some research and I’m not 100% but pretty sure that all these ‘bonus’ tracks have been previously included on the various ‘expanded’ vinyl editions of these osts (as well as CDs of course), via different labels. Additionally this compilation was included as a bonus disc previously as part of the big Goblin ‘The Horror Osts’ vinyl box set.

Definitely think I will get this at some point, will be fun to have all these alt tracks in one place.

I had no idea about this one before I purchased it. But because it was a CineDisc release and a movie with Alain Delon I decided to go for it.

Yeah the $50 price tag is a bit steep for me on Cannibal Holocaust. I'd rather buy one of the previous pressings but as I look at discogs they are all at $45+

That record was $20 for years. lol.

I like it. Especially side B. There are also two songs on it. I would give it a 7/10.

Picked this up on Amazon for $20. Really good mostly ambient atmospheric affair.

Very cool spins @Bez! Actually a lot of great spins going on by everyone posting lately.

I‘m a bit envious as I can‘t spin any records at the time due to an unfortunate „double blow“ of both my stylus being worn out and my phono stage in need of servicing (something wrong with one of the tubes). So I‘m very much looking forward to get my gear in order and start spinning again.

Stelvio Cipriani - Blindman OST [ABKCO 2142-1]

A nice surprise here as well. Full double-sided inner sleeve of liner notes and a great-sounding pressing of this rare Western. Good times. There was a single track from this on the first Ecstasy of Gold compilation. The old Digitmovies CD from 2005 goes for quite a lot now.

Riz Ortolani - Cannibal Holocaust Legacy Edition OST [AMS LP 162]

What a package and our own @RedGoblin putting together quite the pamphlet and liner notes contribution for this release. Really nice details here with the soft matte black sleeve and black theme everywhere; background print on the insert and black wax. The whole thing comes off as a grim parcel. If they would have blacked out the inside of the LP sleeve pockets it would have been the perfect touch so a miss there. Anyway, a lengthy booklet to read with quite a lot of photos. The remaster is sounding quite good on a first listen. This will need some repeated listens and a comparison with earlier releases. Have not reached the bonus tracks yet, but believe I have heard them before from a CD rip.

Although as previously mentioned most of us already have these alt tracks across numerous expanded editions of the individual scores, ultimately was pleased to be able to get this quite reasonably priced from Juno (about 50% of the pricing I’ve seen in many UK stores…)

Sounds really nice, just one neg really - speaking of unnecessary gatefolds, the inner spread image of this is awful! Looks like a dingy phone pic someone randomly took in their bedroom with a goofy cat lantern??
