Fantastic scores to two obscure 60s movies, sounds very good despite the splattery effect. My first ‘Vinyl Me Please’ encounter - have to say quality of everything including heavy card sleeve is top notch.

Never heard of Galt... I see he is the one behind Hair!
Record looks great.

Well I'm listening to The Nucleus right now and need this album. Unfortunately it's sold out...
I hate VMP, I would rather not give them any money, although this one is one of the few reasonably priced records I've seen them do.

That seemed to get there quick congrats. I’ve been streaming that album ever since you mentioned it on the weekend. I didn’t realize it’s 2 scores, I just thought it was a album he put out. Also made me give Hair another listen it’s been a while. This dude has a talent of writing catchy tunes.

A few years ago I signed up for a VMP subscription, ultimately I wasn’t into most of the releases they sent me so I canceled.

I don’t know which one you mean. On a Blue shadow?
Ho Incontrato Un'ombra english title is A Blue Shadow
Aha! Thanks.
Excellent pressing, beautiful score! I don’t really like the shiny Digitmovies sleeves but the music on all those releases sounds really good.

Great to hear you’ve been listening/enjoying the Canadian maestro - one of your own, Pete! :) I’m a huge fan. Hair is so good… Let The Sunshine is incredible, and it would be impossible for me to explain to an alien why. I just know it breathes joy into my soul.

If you fancy more try the Woman is Sweeter ost. He has that same facility with upbeat soul jazz that Vince Guaraldi and Bill Lee had, and exists in a similar sound world for me.

Bez sorry for the confusion...I took the lazy grammatical path. I happy to hear it is a good pressing. I have been listening to a slightly poppy og forever. I really love that soundtrack. Just ordered it...so thanks for the inspiration.

I’ll definitely check out the Woman is Sweeter. If it’s like everything else I’m sure I’ll like it

I really like The 5th dimensions’ version of Aquarius/let the sunshine in. The original The Flesh Failures(let the sunshine in) is a lot funkier than I remember and I didn’t remember the whole beginning at all

If I can make a recommendation of obscure Canadian soundtrack/scores. Apres Ski is a French Canadian Ski comedy from 1971 it was renamed Snowballin for English audiences. The first half of the album the songs can be a little cheesy but it’s the score on side two is where it’s at. Originally credited as Jacques Crevier et son ensemble, it is actually a French Canadian Jazz/Funk band Illustration. So if your into obscure Jazz/Funk from the 70s check this out.

Haha, I think I might remember Snowballin’ from the vhs days… but might be mixing it up with another ski-themed sex comedy from that era :)
Music sounds very intriguing though, I’m all about it thanks.

How's it sound? I want it but the price is just a bit much, although one of these days I'll just bite the bullet. That reminds me I need to order a copy of the Frizzi release from STS too

I have the transparent red vinyl and it sounds clean to me. The opening track Secret Altar is a great sound system test with delicate strings and keys along with a synth sound almost like wind gently whistling. A deep bass tone comes in next through that slowly turns into a sub-bass rumble. I am pleased with how the Cadabra pressing is showing up here. Also, following up from Puppet Master, it is quite enjoyable to see the Maestro continuing to explore new terrain with his sounds while still having some touches that sound very much classic Frizzi.

A new week has commenced…

Morricone 18/25
score to Alberto De Martino's 1967 O.K. Connery a.k.a. Operation Kid Brother

I have the movie, but still need to watch it. Starring Neil Connery, the actual brother of Sean Connery.

This score was released by Digitmovies in 2011 and is very expensive on Discogs. But you can still get it direct from Digitmovies for 25 euro: https://www.store4you.it/shop/en/lp/100 ... 98027.html
5 items left it appears

While I type this I am halfway through side A and the sound quality is great and the score itself is really good as well.

Remember the call
Oh, a cheer for my brothers
Think of them all
Home of the brave
We'll never fall
The strength of our nation
Belongs to us all

I love the idea of a chopper with a giant Stallone face screaming on the bottom of it.
I agree :-)

I noticed just now that the record is sort of translucent... When you hold it to the light you see it shining through a bit...

Great album, thanks for the recommendation @scojo

I'm a little annoyed that the big rip on the cover was not disclosed in the description but the record looks barely played so I'm happy with that.

kind of related but I can't upload images to imgur through the imgur app on my phone anymore. I can do it through a web browser. It's very annoying.
