Normally I would be mad about something like this but I'm truly happy that I own an original pressing in damn near perfect condition :)

Very cool that more people will be able to own this album though.

Agreed!

What a uninspired name for a record label though...

I feel like this label is dedicated to re-releases of records I already spent a lot of money on.

If they do Woman’s Colors next, you’ll know they’re just going through my Discogs collection.

Research of Sound is really great. I only have the Sonor reissue (which was still plenty expensive because I slept on it and only got it last year), but it’s one of my faves. Cannot recommend it enough.

This will be the year I finally grab a copy of this album. Now don't snake my DG in stock notice...

I’m sure they’re getting more than one copy!

But if I end up getting one and you don’t, I will send you mine.

I probably won’t order the Rendez Vous reissue, as I have an OG, but I want to hear how this new Research reissue compares to the Sonor.

I loooove that Wonderland of Sound record! Somehow I ended up with a burn of it a couple of years ago (when I first got into library) and it seemed too expensive for me at the time. It’s like 3x as pricey now as it was then, haha.

nice one million been after one for years but never found the right copy for a price I liked

I especially like Neptune's Walk, it has that great Peter Jacques energy. and Onyx is equally good, at least for that one I do have the Crazy Happy Crazy library or whatever it's called.

nice post!

I need to give this wonderland a good listen, not heard of it before.

Loving this comp of unreleased Jerzy Milian stuff.

that Jerzy Milian is wonderful @Dollarhyde! what a great composer. when i hear his stuff i always think of Janko Nilovic. he might be the polish version. but maybe Nilovic is just the french version, haha!

my ambient section is sooo tiny but the Phantom Islands record found it's way into it for a reason. i love the idea behind it and it is a perfect companion to the Lost Continents record. another record presenting music for islands never found/existed. Phantom Islands is not a library record but it fits in here quite well. definitely a big recommendation. one for those dreamy, rainy nights/days. Lost Continents is really great, too...

"A masterpiece of contemporary Exotica. Phantom islands are islands that appeared on historical maps but never actually existed. The status of these artefacts of European colonial expansion from the 15th to the 19th century oscillates between cartographic fact and maritime fiction.
Sounds From Phantom Islands interprets and presents these imaginations as a quasi-ethnographic catalog of music and synthetic field recordings. "

An ost pretending to be a library LP
Nothing too exciting here but there are some nice chill bucolic moments on this gianni ferrio score.
There is a liet motif that reoccurs through this score which really sounds like something I've heard before but I can't put my finger on it. The whole LP is on YouTube the motif in question can be heard on track 3 (4:30).

Also interesting to see different CAM labels,my copy has these orange/white "campi" labels.

Fkn A, I was making dinner for my family when the email notification arrived and ordered a copy after and it was already sold out.

some weird and some interesting discogs stuff popped up during the past days.

Sensazioni N.1 on Globe for 550€ in VG+ must have appeared and disappeared sometime today - wonderful record!

very strange white label bootleg of Umiliani's Playtime on Omicron. cover had the picture of the original pressing on front and rear - where the hell does this come from?

Cinedelic have Nicolai’s JUSTINE on discogs for €100. It’s too schmaltzy a score for me but go get it if it’s on your list.

This just landed, I'm almost done with side A and overall sound quality seems pretty good. I really don't have anything else to compare it to other than the youtube rip. Low end sounds full though, horns are clear, no noticeable distortion on anything. Jacket is super glossy though, not a big fan of that.
