An all time fave of mine. My only criticism of the pressing is that it sounds a bit wobbly - some speed shifting, unless I'm completely losing my marbles? Anyone have an OG of this I'd love to hear what you think of the Sonor... okay, it's also perhaps a little on the 'muted' side? Not the crispest overall sound, and I can well imagine that the '72 pressing is a lot punchier.

I wish I could provide that OG intel to you.

Someday I might. I just love that album, beautiful music.

It's no VS original, and it does fall guilty to wasting a gatefold (the two awkward inserts with interviews would have been great for it), but it sounds good and I'm happy to own it.

First time listening to the expanded version for me. It sounds excellent to my ears, but much more dialog than I was expecting.
Plus, I don't think there are any worthwhile tracks that aren't on the OG release.
This one's likely ending up in the sell pile.

I hate this cover so much lol. The art style doesn't work for the film, the composition of the design isn't good and if you took the eye patch off of snake you wouldn't be able to tell that it's Kurt.

You're on quite a run though. That Children of the Corn LP sounds really good, I was impressed with it. I complained about the gatefold as well lol. I need to revisit the Lucky score, I don't remember much from it. And I still haven't given People Under the Stairs a listen yet, maybe later today.

Yeah the new EFNY cover is terrible.
I finally had a weekend with nothing else going on so I could catch up on a bunch of newish arrivals.

Now spinning this. The sticker ain't lying.

Thanks @scojo for making me aware of this album, it's really good. Pressing is quiet, no issues at all with surface noise.

Image

This on the other hand is not quiet, it's full of pops and clicks, even after a good cleaning there's tons of noises through out. I need to give it another time through. Although maybe it's just the splattery variant and it's how it sounds. As to echo @33478rpm sentiments, it's not essential. It's a nice little score that I will occasionally spin but not something that I feel like I'll pull out that often.

I love this score, it’s so clever, one of our best score releases to date. Bums me out that not more people have taken to it yet. As a Shudder original, I guess it’s a little more hidden than it should be and will probably be a slow burn on watch lists.

Not sure what happened with that release and Shudder. There was quite a bit of buzz with the festival showings, they then did a special "live" viewing where you would watch on a certain Saturday night which I did then it took close to 6 months for it to hit the actual service for regular streaming and the buzz was virtually gone.

I really loved the movie and score. And will pick it up eventually.
Out of curiosity, why do you charge 2 pounds more for the more limited version of the score? In the latest Mondo/DWRC at home stream where you also attended I believe some were finding it strange that some labels do charge more for a specific color variant.
I know you are a very small label and from the UK so I can imagine you have had a lot of set backs because of brexit and of course covid. Your prices in general are definitely more than fair. I only just now noticed that difference on your bandcamp page.

Thrilled to finally have this fantastic score - the sleeve is okay, and I'm not usually a fan of splattery records as ye know, but if they all sounded as good as this I might be convinced. Ship to Shore have a good thing going on with their Brooklyn pressing plant it seems, top notch all round :)
