I love this record but also its SO short. 27 minutes :( i want more haha
And at least 3 minutes of that 27 is crickets and fire crackling. But yeah, I've been listening to it a lot over the last two weeks.
I also need to find a sample list. i know most of them but there are a few i couldn't place
I'll be honest, I'm fucking terrible at placing samples, stuff sounds familiar but I can never point to the exact thing even if it's staring me in the face. If you do find that list send it my way, I'd love to see it

Great reading music, i find myself going for it a lot for just that purpose.

New comics or something old? My sister got me the first deluxe volume of blade of the immortal for my birthday, I read a bunch of them in high school and now I’m looking forward to going back and doing it all as these editions come out. I also just redid all of sandman for the first time in a long time, there was a time where I went through that series pretty much two or three times a year.

Man I’m dying for this album. I’ve never seen the Japanese pressing looks awesome. Also after watching Code of Silence for the first time I really want to track down a copy of the soundtrack. I’m jealous.

You guys are into comics too? Anyone pick up the new Alien comic that came out today?

New to me comics, they are a few years old though. It's a manga called Dorohedoro. It's a weird crazy story about a man who was cursed by a sorcerer now has a lizard head and but can't remember how it happened. He befriends a woman who runs a gyoza shop and they proceed to hunt and kill sorcerers trying to figure out what happened to him. Meanwhile there are sorcerers that they keep crossing paths with that are hunting for something else. It's quite entertaining.

I have never read Sandman, I have the first collection trade paper back, I've read it 3 or 4 times over the years and always intended to buy more but still haven't. I love what I've read but have never gone further, every time I get the itch I start it over and after finishing the first trade I fall off. Someday, I swear I'll do it.

I've read the first few trades of Blade of the Immortal, it's awesome. I need to read more of it though. I love Takashi Miike's film from a few years ago, highly recommend checking it out if you haven't.

I'm not as much up to date on modern stuff. I occasionally pick up things here and there. The only stuff I read regularly that's currently running is TMNT and a comic called Head Lopper.

I haven’t seen the film yet, it’s been on the list! I have a buddy who is my Manga recommendation source and I think he may have mentioned the one you are reading now to me.

I don’t read a lot of current or new stuff either, I was keeping up with the Mingnolaverse trades but that seems to be pretty much done now. Intrigued about a new Alien series though. Every few years I check in on Batman but it’s been a few since I cared enough to really follow and DC reboots their continuity so often now I just stick to the classics. And as my friend is getting me into manga more and more I’ve got decades of blade of the Immortal and Beserk to catch up on now.

And swamp thing, always down for swamp thing even if no one else is these days :(

Yeah, I really like that art concept, too. I haven't see the film and have no great desire to, but the score is quite good in that rumbling, Lustmord drone kind of way.

OG Nightmare! Very cool, EC.

The VotD pressing is really good, I can't fault it. And it's a decent 90s sci-fi score with some solid themes, punctuated with folksey acoustic fretwork from Mr Davies in places. Definitely one of the stronger elements of the movie for me.

Hey, did you hear about what happened to Savini today?
