Continuing with gianni ferrio stuff, I wish I had all of them

This a great jazzy one with dino piana sneaking in a little trombone magic. the main theme is the big draw. The brooding and ominous intro lights up with a powerful trumpet line (oscar valdambrini??) opens up wide with a big room of italian wrecking crew getting after things... Big band horns, strings, the works. A couple of tracks fuse jazz themes with a sort of saloon funk spinetta, a nice flavor

This one has a wonderful title theme and a couple of good variations on it. But a lot is less interesting to me, so on the whole I don't think it's as good as the previous three.

There is one minute of dynamism in "equazione" too bad it's not longer.

So fucking jealous of this one. Maybe top 3 on my wish list and I have been thinking of getting it by the end of the year no matter the cost :-)
Why this hasn’t had a re-issue is beyond me.
One of my favorite giallo movies.

Listening to the Gaubert now, very nice. This movie sounds.. in my wheelhouse :)
Very much so. :)
Ok. So found a stream of this on a Russian site with overdubbed Russian language. This is a quick random screengrab towards end of movie. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE??

Haha! My COVID lockdown follicles can relate ;D

@static and @scojo Christian Gaubert also produced some seriously funky bangers e.g. "Last Exit" curious to here more of this one.

I am not counting this or other compilations towards my 25 Morricone a year goal.

I need to find an og of this one. Dino piana is all over this record. The more time goes on the more I am totally captivated by his playing and also just how many of these records he played on.

I can't find my Big Guns or One Silver Dollar records, those must be in storage.

Saved the best one for last.

Not sure what's with all the 1, 2 and 3 star ratings on discogs. This one is towards the top of my all time favorite soundtracks list and checks all the boxes

I picked up the Morricone Western Themes 2xLP comp from Music On Vinyl over the weekend, sound unheard. As a matter of fact, I don't even know the track listing so I'm curious to see which, if any, less obvious gems are on there.

I have all 5 in the series currently on their way to me -- although there will obviously be some overlay with some of the scores I already own, I listened to the Lounge and Giallo ones and loved the flow of each! And the packaging/covers look great so I just had to have them!

I resisted the urge to pack in all five. For now. I love a good comp as long as it has at least as much material that I don't/won't own on wax as that which I do. Hoping this fits the bill. If so, I'll assuredly pick up at least the Lounge and Giallo packages as well.
