The ending of My Bloody Valentine is deeply haunting and not talked about enough. Just running into the dark, chills every time.

Agreed. I always felt they were trying to leave it open for a sequel or start of a franchise that never came to be. but the possibilities could of been endless. It’s a shame the remake is so poor although it’s been awhile for me.

I like when Slashers have a song/ballad about movie/villain I can really only think of this one and Madman. Does any know of others?

That Madman song is great where they are all sitting around the fire. Hilarious.

Happy birthday to me is sort of in that realm but I can't think of any as specific as like Madman

Also I think Hell night has kind of a opening track related to the theme of the movie but damn they won't let us get a copy of it.

@Hatter313 thanks for the compliment and sharing. So often my memories are triggered by reading the back and forth posts from you all so it is great to share with those who really appreciate it. You also raise a topic of the changing of the guard as far as technical crafts like stop motion, glass painting and eventually, most practical effects. That is such a loaded topic for me ,that if I had better command of the written word ( like you and others ) I would address in detail.

This one has grown on me a lot. I used to have it on CD some 15-20 years ago and listened to it digitally every now and then after I sold all my CDs. Can‘t say I loved it. With the recent DW release I revisited it via Spotify and found myself really enjoying it - so much that I pulled the trigger on a reasonable priced OG. Cover has a little water damage, still solid, record sounds great.

Now I really want to revisit the film which I used to have on VHS so must be around 20 years ago I last saw this.

I have the reissue from a few years ago, AMS I think...I’m in the midst of a big furniture rearrangement so I can’t get at to check, but I almost never give it a listen. I should remedy that.
