Uh...We Can't Dance was 1991, Spun. Geez!
Late 80s/early 90s... all a blur!

This from Wikipedia:

"Originally the band did not think of it as anything more than a joke, because the song was too simple, too bluesy and completely unlike Genesis' style. Tony Banks said in an interview "It was one of those bits you thought was going to go nowhere. It sounded fun, but wasn't really special".

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on that one! :)
Man, that's just mean. That's mean, man.

Nah, I just needed an excuse to quote Payback this morning. Nothing could come between Gav and myslef. Oceans of time, etc.

On another note, see your Transmission-variant Carpenter has turned up, @ScoJo... what are your thoughts?

Also, how many variants are there for this one, I see new ones turning up that I haven't seen before.
This version sounds really good, enjoying the LP although could only listen to side A today. Came with a numbered print too which I'd forgotten about. So TNSMN had this exclusive edition of 500... and sold out?? That's bloody impressive, jeez.

As an aside (and honestly, who really gives a shit? You see so much griping about this kinda thing on FB groups...) the record looks quite different to the pre-release image: that was black blobs against yellow, the actual LP is three black 'stripes'. Yeah, as I say..... and so what? ;-)

These beauties both arrived today. It's going to be a very Carpenter focused evening. I'm just flipping to side B of LT3. I really enjoyed side A.

What you *specifically* ask the pressing plant for... and sometimes what you get back .... are two different things. At least this one was close enough. ;)

Lucky I was hoping for the trifecta. Village of the Damned and Sentinel returns showed up but not LT3
