I'm really excited to see how this ranking changes as you progress through the years. I'm hoping you just add the movies you watched to it and leave nothing off.

First of all, Black Eagle is a God damn treasure starring the original Ninja, Sho Kosugi. It was his crossover attempt after the six Ninja films and so worth watching.

Second, Bas Rutten is a saint of a man and if you don't own the ELEVEN DVD set of his street fighting/pro fighting/self defense instructionals, then you have some home work to do. Non-optional.

Lastly, Canon rules.

You're a lucky fellow and I am envious of your fresh eyes on both counts. Sho's Ninja films really are a tremendously good time. And Bas is a good guy with a great sense of humor and was one heck of a fighter in his day. Truly one of the thinkers of the sport.

I have a friend who absolutely hates this scene and this song....why he is still a friend i really don't know....so i like to slip the track into playlists every now and then. i ALMOST got it into his wedding.

Agreed, I would have appreciated some more deep diving but it was definitely worth a watch.
