Lovely way to start the day. quick story about this score. it was never one of my favs from him for some reason, i liked it well enough and always loved the movie, but i never really listened to it the way i've gone back to his other scores. Cut to the retrospective tour in 2016 and when he plays "Christine Attacks" as the final number fo the encore and suddenly this score just JAMS. That one experience really opened my ears to it and moved it well up in my rankings for JC.

I had a similar experience at a Frizzi 2 Fulci show. Never gave Cat in the Brain too much thought before i heard him play it live.

I have never seen this score, the show was kind of fun from what I remember although not really a very good show. Is this one hard to come by?
Might not be hard to find but prices have definitely climbed in the last few years if looking domestically.

That's funny, I was never a fan of Christine for many years, I watched at some point in the 90's and it just never did much for me. Probably 7 or 8 years ago I found a cheap bluray and picked it up, immediately shifted my opinion. I really enjoy the film a lot more and the score which I kind of just ignored because it was in a Carpenter film I didn't love. Funny how opinions change over time.

I'm still not a huge fan of Cat in the Brain score, it's not bad but it never really clicked with me which is why I haven't picked up the vinyl of it. I should as I do love Frizzi and I should just have a copy in the collection.

I like Cat in the Brain. If I recall correctly, some of it is a rehash of previous themes. Guess I'll throw it on later ;)

Not sure why, but I've always wanted this though I've no memory of the scores. Even my spotty memories of the films have melded into a single faded mirepoix of images over time.

And pricey! I'll have to keep a weather eye out for this popping up in an unusual place.

Get after it, Deaf! How's the weather in Bridge City this weekend? It's dead lovely up our way.

The perfect combination of sunshine and that brisk Autumn air. Hope you are doing well, Mateo.
