I also have a REALLY bad horror sound collection LP my Mom bought in the late 80's or early 90's. I didn't have the time to look last night. God knows what I filed that under. LOL. Probably the producer, but I don't know the producer off the top of my head, I'll have to look it up in my fancy excel spreadsheet. That is partly why I decided to separate my soundtracks. My husband started getting annoyed that the soundtracks were filed under the producer in the spreadsheet instead of the soundtrack name, yet I have them filed by album name in the collection because that is what is on the spine. He just doesn't understand that the producer is what is important in the soundtrack world... ::smh:: and if it was a true soundtrack with multiple artists, I may put "variety of artists" and he would get frustrated more. LOL Now he wants me to put under the "band name" category "soundtrack" for all of them and leave the producer out. :( Maybe I should have a his and her spreadsheet. LOL It would annoy me too much to have another row for producer and only have it filled in for my soundtracks.

I need to go back and pick up the Creepshow I passed on to get the Goblin album I got instead. :/ I don't really know what I was thinking.

in my spreadsheet and on the shelf, i put it under the name of the movie alphabetically to make it easier to find, but in the spreadsheet, i specify the composer and any details that make the pressing unique. that makes it easier to search the spreadsheet for, say, all of the les baxter soundtracks i have, for instance.

my wife's collection and mine are kept separate on the shelf (but combined in the spreadsheet). any common interest stuff typically goes under my side on the shelf, since i usually am the one buying the records. :)

i am so glad waxwork is re-releasing CREEPSHOW. i have never seen the original pressing in person, and every time i see it online, it is ungodly expensive.

He's my small collection, start new job Monday so hopefully collection will get a lot bigger over next few months. Always been into film scores and soundtracks mainly on CD's growing up but a few years back decided to do record store day with my dad and picked up the Dracula and Wicker Man singles, got speaking with someone in queue and I mentioned how I loved Escape from New York soundtrack and was told it was been released by a new company called Death Waltz, the rest as they say is history. Picked up some amazing albums I'd not of heard if it wasn't for spencer and this forum. Beasts of the Southern Wild been a favourite Spencer recommended. I'm particular proud of the horrendous Bruce Willis singles !
