I remember my father taking us to see this at the drive-in way back when. And I thought it was the greatest film ever. Years later I realized what a dumpster dive it was. Great score though..
As a kid after Jaws I went on a Benchley tear, The Deep and The Island were both fantastic reads- great adventure stories and both with really creepy/gory horror parts. I do remember being disappointed that the threat of The Island turns out to be modern pirates rather than supernatural beings (that cover!) Anyway, I always loved The Deep movie and The Island is kinda fun- at least they kept the slasher-film style violent parts :)

Nice ones @bpwlogan. Two of those last three records you played are on my way. And I haven't seen both of those movies...

While rearranging a shelf this one popped out. And it is pretty good.

Like the movie: Excellent! Gave me a feeling I wanted to be in a car chase and shoot stuff.

You are spinning some excellent records yourself!

After seeing so many people play my next spin I am finally going to hear why this is a favorite for many:

Excellent spins, guys. I would like to join you "The Island" playing members someday

I got this last year but I'm amazed it hasn't sold out yet. La-La Land Records is currently having a 30% off sale (fyi ends tomorrow) so E.T. can come home for $28 ;)

Zambrini probably helped by some Alessandroni black magic. Been after a cheap coverless copy, hopefully one turns up. This one has a heat warp audible on first tracks of both sides, definitely playable but kind of annoying.

Haha, I'm at the point of my day where I'm just going into a box and grabbing random stuff. That Simonetti album is way more fun than I remember.

awesome spins everyone! I feel a spin of The Island is in my future.

@ink, Always love seeing Haunted Summer show up on this thread.
@bud, LaLaLands release of E.T. is amazing. I too am surprised it hasn't sold out. I can highly recommend their vinyl releases of Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's List also.
