I bought a sealed copy of the original soundtrack with those tracks off eBay like 10 years ago. The shipper mailed it in a padded envelope, so of course it arrived super damaged. Was one of my first record purchases.

That was so fucking strange, he got real uppity about a few of us preferring to listen to Nicolai records. Then disappeared after people responded to him. I believe we were told we were being incredibly disrespectful.

Tbh it's fairly typical SH 'ownership/better than thou' behaviour. I find him to be an incredibly tedious voice in our small corner of music enthusiasm.

Thanks, I guessed it was probably a Dagored from the design. Though to be fair, 'design' is pushing it a bit with relation to DR stuff ;-)

I love that Umiliani record! Found that a few years ago (along with a bunch of other Italian crime stuff) in my local record store on clearance!
Doesn’t seem like they get much of that anymore, sadly.

I've never really said much about him, I didn't want to offend any one but I find him quite irritating at times. For that exactly reason 'holier than thou' mentality. Now this is just me on the outside only seeing his interations on twitter, I wasn't around when he was here.

Personally, I feel like Morricone’s stuff is *extremely* effective in a film, but I enjoy Nicolai’s stuff more as just an album listen.

That's funny since I remember him raving about how good tempo sospeso is years before Marco did this great reissue.

I have a sealed orange copy I would part with. Believe he did 70 copies of this one. $40

I don't know... I think nothing of it. Interactions in writing is not the best way to judge a person's attitude. especially on Twitter. I hate Twitter.

It doesn't look he was saying that the people in that twitter thread are disrespectful. I'm sure he's in a position where he sees a lot of feedback from the social media about every releases that he puts energy into, and I feel that, with social medias being that kind of place where some collectors are really intense, he probably saw lot of people complaining loudly about Morricone. It's fatigue about social media interactions, I'd say. I may be wrong.

+1 here. As someone who struggles with writing, I find myself always apologizing for offending or jokes that don't land. I'm fairly certain my inperson personality is nothing like my terrible online writing. I hate Twitter with the heat of a thousand suns.
