I saw this at a shop today and was excited to grab it until I saw that they wanted $35 for it. I've seen it for $10-15 on discogs so I passed. I really need to but that and Body Love though.

I personally vote for ANGST ost and Cyborg or (Black Dance) - all excellent, you can score 2 of any combo of those vinyl reissues from Amazon for that 30 euros (just about ;-)

This one was a complete blind buy, I own Mutant on bluray but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I figured I'd probably enjoy some of it since Richard Band is usually a pretty good. Overall it was quite an enjoyable listen and a great grab for $12. Also one of my first VS LP's. I unfortunately got into this game pretty late for soundtracks and don't own very many. I think Down Twisted may be my other VS.

I've never heard that TD album but that's a fun cover.

I'm so tempted to pull the trigger on 3 Schulze albums on amazon.de it's $40 shipped for all 3, mind boggling. Unfortunately I have a certain Park related purchase to make this week :) so I'm hoping those prices hang around for a few weeks.

Alright everyone give me your top 5-10 TD albums. Doesn't matter if it's a score or just one of their albums. I have become a lot more familiar with their work over the last two years but seeing everything posted recently I realized I'm severely lacking in knowledge on them on a whole.

my splatter version of Bliss (/100) arrived with a huge chunk out of the corner of the record.

they apparently don't hold back any extras of their releases, so they were not able to offer me a replace.
i just got a black vinyl copy instead.

I happened to bike past one of my semi-reg 2nd hand haunts in the rain today, and am very jazzed that I decided to look in against my instinct and the dreary weather... as I managed to score this fantastische TD 12", four tracks from the TV series TATORT from 1982. I've only had this digitally for years, and this is glorious early 80s TD all the way - has that killer drum sound from White Eagle, the feel of era-specific Vangelis and JMJarre in parts, and the main theme is really ace - sits very happily with the best of their themes from that time. (oh and I do love a 12" Ep with a spined sleeve :)

It looks fantastic Chris - somewhere between a Deutsche Miami Vice and The Sweeney! The addition of Berlin School artists on the soundtrack of this show generally has me absolutely salivating, think I'm going to have to have a look for some DVDs ;)

*EDIT* Ahh, looking at the tracklist of the 2017 'Best of Tatort' release (on both CD and double vinyl!), seems like synth artists were actually not that prevalent on the soundtrack after all, with the exception of TD and Klaus Doldinger and maybe one or two others - the compilation mainly features songs by the likes of Chris Rea and Nina Hagen. Still would really like to delve into the show though!

Yeah, Tatort per se is not necessarily good or bad (the show and the music). It‘s the longest running police/crime show in Germany (50th anniversary coming up this year...). There are different police teams/investigators from different cities and areas in Germany over the years, it‘s all summed up under Tatort. The one with the TD tune in one episode is Tatort with the tough cop „Schimanski“ which aired during the 80ies.
