Guys, this is me right now...

This popped up on discogs a little over a week ago from Japan. It was priced at $20. That is an insane price for this, it's pretty hard to come by and the last one that sold on there was bought by @tex (who didn't like it and resold it, sorry @tex) which I think was priced at $90. The only one recorded prior to that was sold over a year before that for close to $200. So why it was marked at $20 and not in line with the previous sold price, well the jacket was VG+ grade but the record itself was graded G+. It stated that there were scratches and scuffs on the record that effected the playback but from my experience with buying from Japan, they tend to be very critical of their records when grading them, something a person in the US would grade VG, people in Japan may grade G. Well I received the record today and upon inspection side B is flawless, not scratches or scuffs at all, side A has two large scratches that are very visible but have zero effect on playback. This thing plays as perfect as some of my new albums. It could use a good cleaning as there are a few light pops and clicks during the quiet moments of the songs. I'm thrilled to own this and actually have a playable copy. Thanks to @dollarhyde for making me aware of this one. For those that dont' know what it is, it is from Osamu Shoji, a Japanese composer who for this record made synth focused versions of Horror themes, Suspiria, Tenebrae, Phenomena, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Omen, The Exorcist. It's a great album that will be getting a lot of spins over the next month or so.

@inks - Nice grab on that horror theme compilation. @Dollar and I have been trading info that it might have been created around the same time as the Roots Search and Wicked City OST’s.

Another oddity from Japan. This is more of a promo for the film and two French musicians who created some mixes and tracks that I believe were included in the film. Not much Boswell/Mainetti original material, and also some film dialogue/fx/scream tracks. It’s been fun comparing the included promo material with @Bez, who sent me a copy of the larger promo flier. Thank you!

Nice catch always good to get a big want at the right price :) and you can thank @deaf for tipping me off to horror show ;)

I was listening to wicked city today in fact, on cassette (Thankyou Tigerlab!!) While decorating. It had been a while, equally as good as horror show and roots search and sounds super similar to both at times.

The unholy trinity of Osamu :D

@bez nice spins still need both of those ;)

@nate nice dirty run! Did you see four flies are doing a 2xLP comp of Italian sex comedy flick tunes. I reckon it could be gooden.

I don’t know which Williams’ I like the most: this or Schindler’s List.

Both masterpieces.

To anyone wanting to grab this. Buy it directly from Enjoy The Ride. After working on this release for years some other label wound up releasing it at the same damn time. Blindsiding ETR.

The album up for preorder on amazon and other places is not the ETR release, and is also not a gatefold, and a different colorway. Support small labels!

Sounds f’ing awesome by the way! :)

Thanks for posting those! Looks absolutely beautiful. And I want them so bad :-)
:)

I was really lucky with Bronx Warriors, as I found this for around €60 (that was some years ago, though). House by the Cemetary I then caved in some months ago, paid more than I usually would pay for for a record but at least less than what people on discogs are asking.
