Two tweets from @mondonews earlier today:
Jerry Goldsmith won the Academy Award in '77 for Best Original Score on THE OMEN......
...our next soundtrack release also won that award.... just that it didn't win it in 1977. Info soon....

My guesses in no particular order: Gravity, ET, The Last Emperor, Jaws, The Social Network, Midnight Express. If pressed, I'd guess Gravity, but it's the one I'd want the least.

Weird that they haven't sent out any emails or done any posts today about The Omen drop tomorrow. I wonder if it's still happening.

The tweet they sent out before that said they were having email issues so they just linked the Bloody Disgusting article and said it'd be up for purchase tomorrow. May that's a good thing though, some of the flippers will miss out and the actual fans will get a better shot. I'd guess that The Omen would sell faster than the last two releases on name recognition alone.

Finally got around to opening both of mine. Like ALWAYS, mine are plain black. :/ I was really hoping for the variant for Here Comes the Devil too. Oh well, I knew better better than to hold out too much hope. I never have luck with these random insert variants. That is why I never buy duplicates; it would be a waste of money.

I will have the chance to pop 'em on the table tonight. I will follow all of your advice and save my HCTD for last. I am super excited to hear these. Can't wait!!!

Same here, no luck with variants both black but im ok with that. Havent had chance to listen but hoping go do so some time today.

If it makes you feel any better - a little schadenfreude for Tuesday morning - my HCTD variant was slightly bowed. Not enough to return it but noticeable. Maybe if I plug the center hole I can have a bloody-looking washbasin.

I grabbed one...although I still haven't received shipping notification on my copy of HCTD or Blue Sunshine...or the poster for Field in England...so I am not terribly worried about it.

I got one as well. I seriously doubt I will get a variant with this one. I don't get one normally and the odds are almost nil with this set since the other variant is taken out of the equation. I am hoping maybe to snag the other variant when they post it; that one looks pretty neat. And hey, if any of us get the one variant in this one, then kudos... you get the ultra rare one. ::thumbs up:: I'm holding high expectations for this soundtrack. It would be nice if it ships as quick as the other two did! That turnaround time was pretty unexpected. I'm just glad to get this soundtrack- variant or not.

In for The Omen myself i seem to always rush to get a "Mondo" because of the previous "mad rushes" that resulted in me missing out so, yeah......

Did they used to release less than 1,000 before? It seems like I used to miss out on the releases constantly and now they seem to be on there for weeks on end!?! I still sit on the computer stalking around noon waiting for them to drop because I am still traumatized from missing out on past releases. HAH! I am hoping maybe I can get one of the leftover VARIANT LP's from the Blue Sunshine show in Texas. That thing looks awfully purty.

They've not been this consistent with their quantities I believe is what it is.


Maniac was a total of 500, The Beyond was 500 variants and 1000 black. Drive was 4,500 of black with random pink inserted, the pic disc of Drive was 1000. Not sure about all the other releases before Halloween, like Oblivion, Raid, Poltergeist, Deadly Spawn, etc.
