Great alligator is really good, best of the bunch. I have a Japanese grizzly with obi I'd sell if anyone needs one of those. Don't think I've listed it yet. Honestly not sure where it is... Somewhere around here.

There hasn't been any ''News'' from his site regarding the vinyl release, but I would think that they had something to do with it.

Edit: Just sent them an email to ask (in english :S ) if the release is official. We'll see if something comes of it.
Hello guys ! Been a while that I came on the boards to post. I have some news regarding the Tetsuo The Iron Man soundtrack that I didn't know where to post. But back in april we mentionned that this might be a bootleg. I did write to the email address listed on Shinya Tsukamoto/Kaijyu Theater 's website, and I only received a reply today. This might interest you :

Hello !

My name is Jonathan, I am a fan of Mr.Tsukamoto's films and I am also a collector of vinyl records and, more specifically, movie soundtracks that have been released on the vinyl format. There has been a vinyl release of Chu Ishikawa's 'Tetsuo the Ironman' soundtrack on vinyl, during the year 2015 or 2016, and theVinyl Record Jacket information says that the label that released it is 'Kaijyu Theatre' with the catalog number KAILP0001.

There is some confusion in the vinyl collector community regarding this release. Some people think it is a bootleg, or an unofficial release that was not licensed. I wondered if you can confirm to me that the release is official and was indeed produced by Kaijyu Theatre ? If it is an official release, I hope that you will be putting out more of Mr.Tuskamoto's movies soundtracks on vinyl in the future.

Thank you for your time,

Jonathan

Dear Jonathan,

Hope this mail finds you well.

I am writing to you, on behalf of Shinya Tsukamoto, as I am the manager of the soundtrack of TETSUO.

Thank you so much for your interests and kind attention about our production. We haven’t known about it, and just realized about it by your mail recently. That one on discogs.com is completely illegal products, not by Kaijyu Theater at all. Actually we have been preparing to release the Vinyl record of TETSUO next year. So we will warn the manufacturers soon.

We will send you the official information when we can announce it. I really appreciate your sincere relationship and understanding.

Best regards,

Hiromi

Tim, I'm loving this theme you have going one right now. I haven't heard Jaws 3D in a long time but if memory serves, it's a pretty good soundtrack right?

@max, I assume that's the single LP version of Unsolved Mysteries? I have the 3LP version and it's fantastic, I can't wait for the next one coming later this summer/fall.

@Nate, thanks for sharing that email and good to see you back

@inksb yes single LP, clear with purple freckle variant. I was alarmed at the the wax shedding on the needle on first play, hopefully hasn’t screwed my needle up too badly. That aside, side B is absolutely brilliant, blade runner-esqe soaring synth.

Jaws 3 is pretty good. It gets played the least but a decent score nonetheless.

Berserk was delivered yesterday. I listened 3 times through, I love the score, always have and really happy to have it on vinyl. Not sure what's going on with the first two tracks on side A but either their source is strange or there is a pressing issue, it's super loud and kind of "grindy" sounding before the track starts, I don't notice much during the track but that noise is still there between the first two tracks. Outside of that it seems like a decent pressing. The subscription printed jacket (ie print, folded in half that wraps around the jacket while in a plastic sleeve) is beautiful.

Not sure why Forces was omitted, it's on the original CD release, in an edited 1:54 version, that could have easily fit on this release. Oh well the rest is really good. Just a warning @nathan the second pressing already sold out so as of right now the only way to get it is through Light in the Attic as they have their own "white hawk" variant up for pre-order. They may repress it, they did 2 extra pressings of Perfect Blue a year and half after the first pressing. TLV is saying this is it but you never know, they could always extend their license and do more.

I'm definitely taking a chance, but all previous releases from Tiger Lab have reached distribution in the past, through juno or my local store etc. ordering direct is straining my wallet and I'm very tired of paying the premium prices when I import, so I'm willing to take a chance here and cross my fingers for the cheapest price by combining an order from juno or something. Or I'll pick it up in 10 years, from discogs, when vinyl records are no longer ''cool'' :P

I need to embrace this thought process more often. I've severely cut down my record purchases the last two months. It's been getting to be too much and I'm finding too many damn records I want.
