@Bez, I see you have moved further down the rabbit hole to the pamphlet level. I admire your courage. ;)

I thought it might be interesting to keep pamphlets in flip book binders or similar for easy viewing:

So many excellent ones that you scored. I love those early F13 artwork as well, and also the Evil Dead series. Captain Supermarket, indeed. All very cool, but many of those western 45's are what I'm after!

That is a good idea to keep them in. I am going to look for something like that. The brochures are a lot of fun, but I think I might stop now... I have Poltergeist 1, 2 and 3 double and I am going to cut the covers off and frame them. Love that artwork. Some flyers I am framing as well. I am preferring these to posters because I can hang more flyers than posters.

Those westen 45's are brilliant. Not very expensive. And there are so many more to get :-)

Would love to know more about those Cinema Kan releases.
I used EMS. The more expensive option but better for customs. I don't have to pay customs for the shipping costs because apparently Dutch customs cannot find the amount on the invoice. And to be fair with an order as big as this I am not going to worry about 6,000 to 8,000 yen extra. There were 41 different packages inside that box.

Those Cinema Kan releases are very nice. Simple cover (no gatefold) plus insert. Quality of wax is great. Not 180 I think. A bit lighter. Sounds great. Especially Branded to Kill is a brilliant listen. I recommend that one for sure.

You are lucky @bez here in the U.K. EMS pretty much guarantees custom's charges for anything over somewhere around £18 :)
SAL sometimes slips through the net, never tried surface.

Also for EMS that seems cheap, maybe the UK costs more.

Thankyou for your opinion on those releases going to have to grab them.

Those Kaiju OSTS are a bit niche but I like them.
Secondly I'm only recently realising there is a lot more to Ifukube than Godzilla scores.

I think I was not clear. I had to pay customs. I always have to whichever service I use. But normally when customs is calculating how much I owe them the tally up the value + shipping costs and levy tax on that total. When I use EMS the shipping cost appears to be not visible for them That means I only pay customs on the value part. As shipping was around 25,000 yen I am happy to have not had that added to the value. When I used SAL (cheaper to ship) customs did add those costs. Bottom line: EMS vs SAL will costs me about the same when I factor in customs. But EMS is much faster.

@bez understood, for EMS that seems cheap. And I agree EMS is so much quicker.

Great little bundle of cheap, but good, Japanese vinyl from UK seller £30 all in including shipping :D

Damn. I got Whirlpool and The Etruscan Kills Again from Arrow Video delivered today and I’ve never gotten records in the mail that were this warped. It’s almost funny how bad they are.
Anyone else ever have any experiences like this with them?

Goddamit I slept on that BTK and now it's already not cheap- ugh. Gonna go rage-huff some boiled rice for a while.

Does it effect playback? I know I have a few records that are a little warped but not enough to mess with playback. I do have one record that was pretty back, Mars Volta Deloused in the Comatorium original silver pressing. I ended up laying it flat and putting some flat objects on it with a stack of books & various other objects for weight. Left it for a few days and the warp lessoned to the point of not being audible anymore. This is not a great thing to do to your record but it was my only option at the time.

But since these are brand new records and Arrow usually have pretty good customer service, I would take some photos, send them to Arrow and see if they would replace the records.

Yeah I sent them a video of each one and asked for a replacement of just discs (there were seam splits on both jackets too but eh, I’m not that crazy picky).
I mean I guess it’s playable but it seems like a really major warp. My needle doesn’t skip or anything but it seems like it can’t be great for it to look like it’s on the high seas.

I don't think it ever was "cheap", Scojo ;) I think the cheapest I've seen it is 40GBP before shipping.

Never had that problem with them but they do ship in thin mailer boxes so I'm not that surprised. I'm sure their Customer Service is going to sort you out though.

Grail of Grails, my most wanted soundtrack of all time has finally arrived. And I admire the fucking BALLS on whoever did this bootleg, with a fair amount of promo and out in the open. With a two sided full color obi and a two sided slick printed insert, and heavyweight vinyl too. It sounds awesome. I am fucking ecstatic!!!!

Did anyone get the slipmat pic disc or test press?? I was driving in rural Texas and couldn't get service. Will trade some dopeness for that one.

I have no love for Diablo, not a game I played ever but damn did they do an incredible job with it. And I think they did one of the coolest Test Press packages I've ever seen. I may pick up the standard release since it's still available.
#117506
I still remember putting in the original demo CD, actually it wasn't a demo but a stand-alone kind of "alpha" teaser that released before the actual game, shipped on a CD in one of those monthly gamer magazines.

You played the first level, which culminated in a tense fight against "the butcher"

I had never played a game with that kind of gritty atmosphere and feel before, and I haven't since. It is one of the very best games of all time, and the music was awesome!

Diablo 2 will be even better

Got my copy today as well and it is a fantastic package in all aspects! Easily on of the best games ever with a haunting soundtrack. I even purchased the game for PS1 again a few months ago. Will have to play it again as soon as I have finished Secret of Mana.

If, like me, you don't want to wait until end of month for Klaus Shulze's NEXT OF KIN OST to arrive in stores, I just ordered direct from HHV.de as it's in stock for £25 and has shipped immediately! Their Euro shipping aint too bad neither. I bundled the Dark Forces FUNHOUSE OST boot in with it too, since I've been eyeing that one for a while :)

I have not seen Next of Kin, it's on the list but not very high at the moment. I have wanted that Funhouse boot for a while too. I just haven't got around to picking it up.

I have no idea what those records are but packages from Japan are always a good thing :-)
They are all City Pop records. From top left to bottom right
Akina Nakamori - Fushigi
Junko Yagami - Mr Metropolis
Akiko Yano - Iroha Ni Konpeitou
Kikuchi Momoko - Ocean Side

I'm not actually sure if you would categorize Akiko's album as City Pop as it's from '77 and doesn't really follow the formula, she's a bit weirder and more experimental. It's still a pop album just not by the exact standards of City Pop.
