In case, like me, you're a Roy Budd nut but can't quite afford the original Stone Killer LP (super pricey!) there's this 2x 7" set with 7x choice killer cuts from the OST - this is the best deal I could find, at Juno. (Btw, same label Dynamite Cuts have also released similar edition of Get Carter, with original Japanese LP artwork - as well as upcoming 7"s of The Black Windmill, Diamonds and The Internecine Project all by Budd)

peep their bandcamp page for more pre-order info: https://dynamitecuts.bandcamp.com/

all of these seem to be 2x7" sets. i find it a little uncomfortable to listen to 7" and prefer my LP's but maybe some of you might care for these...
nuthin' but a Roy B thang...

Why has no one reissued this? Is it a long lost master issue?

Indeed.

I imagine it is also a lot cheaper to get the rights for two to four songs. Also cheaper to press and for buyers to purchase 45". Also portability for djs.

If I'm not mistaken the label I think is run by Malachi Trout a long time UK collector/dealer I good friend of Jazzman Gerald I think, and in some ways not too disimilar to the long running jazzman/funk 45 7" labels.

Well it's a 2x 7" set, and actually contains 7 tracks - but yeah, that's still only half of the OG album release.
I kinda go with Dollar's thinking - the label is a DJ-centric one, so 7" singles makes sense? Assuming that's still a big thing, selecters spinning 45s?

I do in fact have it and I thought it sounded pretty good - I haven't done an extremely thorough comparison to the "Golden Imports" pressing (which is my otherwise favorite version of this), but I did sort of think the Golden Imports was maybe more dynamic, at least.

I'll try to do a more thorough comparison in the next couple of days, though.

yes, that GIF would come in handy.

ScoJo, you don’t like this art?
I admit they could probably have come up with something more interesting but this is basically just the theatrical poster art.

I guess I’m saying...this is basic, and playing it safe, but when I think about all of the ways they could have gone wrong, I guess I think it could have been worse.

Ugk. I have a confession - and my addled brain is partly to blame, but also my stoopid phone which makes juggling open browser windows tricky... the 'shite artwork' thing was actually meant to be directed at the Alien bluray shown in a different thread... and I have no idea how it ended up here. Sorry about that.

For the record, I am in full agreement with you that this Vertigo sleeve is just Fine, and also Dandy, and indeed is Everything It Needs To Be. I thank you for your attention.

I hadn't seen this mentioned until today, and I immediately thought of Blindguy (you have the jukebox, right?) -- it's a box set of Studio Ghibli soundtrack 7"s. Here's a link for it on Norman Records: HERE

Nice heads up reddeye although I think I will probably pass on this one. I'm pretty sure the Totoro and Laputa tracks are already featured on the previously released LPs.

The Nausicaa 7" is not by Hisaishi and is not featured on any of the LP releases but the og 7" is cheap to pick up.
This 7" is actually by Haruomi Hosono, if you here it the bassline will give it away ;).

I really really hope later this year they reissue the "grave of the fireflies" OST and image album. Repeatedly getting outbid on them is getting tiresome, and while you are at it Kiki wouldn't go a miss, even though I have an og ;)
