I have the cassette you released @monster but I really need to put an order in for the LP, I've been meaning to pick up a few of your LPs. Thug sounds really awesome from the samples, as does Rage.

Oh damn ! yes for the Klaus Schulze, thanks for the heads up. Also very interested in the Popol Vuh, even though I got earlier editions from all the albums included in it, except for one.

Hope it's better than the$40 splatter true romance... Sounds like shit and they printed the jacket on the same material they make paper towel rolls out of. Felt super ripped off. I did order this reluctantly.

This looks pretty cool -- Victor Vlasov "The Air Seller" OST LP.

From the label's bandcamp: Shukai presents its debut release - music for television film The Air Seller by Victor Vlasov, which has never been released before. Recorded in 1967, the same year as the film was broadcasted on Soviet television. The Air Seller directed by Vladimir Riabtsev is a black and white film based on the eponymous sci-fi novel by Alexander Belyaev, first published in 1929. Limited edition of 300 copies.

For those in the US interested in it, Forced Exposure has it in stock.

Cinema-Kan are reissuing war of the gargantuans on picture disc (one of the many Godzilla kaiju spin offs) scored by Akira Ifukube. This is an official remastered reissue, but on picture disc :( maybe a regular version will come later. I really hope this label do more vinyl releases.

Dear every label in existence. Stop with the f’ing picture discs! You spend time remastering an album to press it onto something that at best can sound decent.

The mind boggles!?! I may jump on this anyway with hope that it doesn't sound too bad. :/
I have a couple of Japanese pictures discs from the 80's that are surprisingly good sounding, at least, better than the death waltz house of the devil picture disc.

I'm curious to know the overall quality of Cinema Kan releases, they have put out a slew of highly regarded unreleased Japanese OSTs on CD. I just wish they would do more vinyl pressings, the 'wolf guy' OST by Jun fukamachi under a pseudonym is an incredible, funky masterpiece from the little I have heard.

Very different process and picture discs will almost always have really cruddy noise floors.

I just to see how much a copy of Wolf Guy OST CD would be and it's $40 plus shipping. Japanese media is insane.

Although it doesn't help with this particular release, CD Japan often has decent prices, and the overseas shipping costs aren't outrageous. Unfortunately, "Wolf Guy" is in a backordered state on their site, but they did have it for $33 (HERE).

In the US, Screen Archives has it listed, but they do have it at $41 (HERE).

I ordered direct through Amazon japan, they calculate the tax for you so no customs handling fees, (maybe dependent if it's an official Amazon.jp seller or not) you do pay the customs charge though, at checkout. Also superfast delivery I should be getting the CD next week.

How is it, heard it's way different from previous stuff.
I listened to the mp3s a week ago (album is on its way). The phrase that came into my head while listening was "amazingly conventional." Except for a few points in the score, it sounded like the traditional score to a mystery thriller. It wasn't bad, mind you, but is definitely different than what I had heard from him previously, which was It Follows and video game scores. I also didn't feel that the tracks by other bands like REM offered much to the listening experience.
