@static, David and the 2 kids are sacked out so I'm taking advantage of the free time. Looks like tonight and last night were good for you too.

This is like watching a heavyweight prize fight where the contestants are matching each other blow for blow.

Amazed at how fast Amazon is now. Even before cleaning this is a very nice pressing...soundstage and bass are deep.
Such a sweet, innocent score....happy with this release.

@mateo, what @static said. And the feeling is mutual.
It was just a colorful analogy. Don't ruin this for me, you guys.

Evan, my friend, your sage and kindly words ensure that I might enjoy this night's repose unmolested. Thanking you.

@mateo, you are so funny. Your "blow for blow" comment gave me a good chuckle. Never stop with your colorful analogies, they're always appreciated. :)

Kinda backfired though - I thought it would be a nice, gentle, jolly way to encourage my slug-a-bed gf to get up and at 'em this morning (we're both up against tax return deadline ugh), but she found it all very stressful and shot out of the room, accusing me of suggesting she "was lazy". :O

I best go get the eggs on and smooth over this political firestorm, you'll have to excuse me fellas....

Excellent mail day over here:

ImageOsamu Shoji - Horror Music Show [1987 Columbia Japan YF-7126]

Synth covers of horror themes by Osamu Shoji. @monster sent me info about this album a few years ago, and I have been searching for it ever since. Disco funk Goblin/Simonetti tracks, including an epic synth flute(?) solo on Phenomena, and full orchestral synthesis elsewhere, along with a wicked cover of the NoES theme. A very enjoyable album, but quite rare. Shoji-san was also involved in the ‘79 Halloween OST re-recording for Columbia Japan. The artwork by Yasushi Nirasawa is a nice bonus:
