The overnight low is 0 with windchill dipping much lower and we are projected to get 10-18 inches of snow dumped on us this afternoon into the night. I will be doing the same, spinning some wax and watching a few movies.
Inks, it’s looks like the storm is petering out before it hits me, so you might be saved! Not sure where you are but right now it’s looking like less than an inch, although yours might be a different storm so good luck dude!
Update! It did not miss us. I have about 16" of snow then with drifting (I have fields on 3 sides of my house and only a few trees) there are spots of 36". I just went outside to clean up the drive way a bit because we are expected to have half an inch an hour continue until tomorrow afternoon, so I wanted to get rid of some of it before I have to do it again in the morning.

While watching the snow fall today I've been spinning Tiger Labs releases in order. Man I love Devilman, it's so ridiculous.

Wow, that’s incredible dude, downstate we got about half an inch of freezing rain and then it jacked up to 45 during the day, turned to rain and then dried out. Good luck man, I’ve got a feeling we are in for it this winter, and I shudder to think what it’s gonna look like by you when I start getting more.

@ScoJo - I greatly enjoyed A Nightmare Reimagined. Mr. LoDuca easily transported me back to that cabin in the woods. I would love a Varèse OG, but this hit the spot for now. Also, the overall package by DWRC was excellent: Graham Humphreys spewing horrors with garish colours from front to back, including a monstrous inner gatefold. The small Necronomicon booklet with the sleeve notes was a nice extra touch.

@static - You have been killing it all weekend. Epic run.

This one does not get far from the turntable:

Almost the perfect background music for some creative thinking.

Damn @Static. Nice run!
Was it a holiday in the States yesterday?

- checking Waxwork calendar- Martin Luther King Jr day? Is that a national holiday? Or is everything closed because of that person with his wall? Strange country... Well the UK has its share of strange business at the moment. Here in the Netherlands everything is nice and boring.

Now this.

@static and @bez, stellar choices all round.

A wee work from home day has allowed me to spin these three (that's Mandy on the left).

Almost Holy was a punt, it was going cheap in my local, but it's a good listen. Mandy (first listen) crept up on me a bit. It didn't hit me immediately, but side B is excellent. I won't be waiting too long for a second spin. I was listening to the second LP of True Detective (score from s1), but the songs on LP1 are a good listen too.

FWIW, I'm now listening to Gauguin by Warren Ellis (CD).

Yeah, monday was kind of a holiday. Banks, Schools, Government are all shut down for the day but it's not a mandated or paid holiday at most places. They call it a Federal holiday not a national holiday?

So many killer scores @stat - you've inspired a couple here (Videodrome, Childhood/Leader)

What's your take on The Prowler? Been a while since I watched but the samples WW threw out very quite F13ish to my ears?

I had never seen the prowler before, but when they dropped the score I gave it a watch and was sad that I’d missed it for years, I love those early slashers man, there’s a strange quality about them that gets me. It reminded me of my bloody valentine a lot actually, one of my all time favorites and possibly the most underrated of the “Halloween” knock offs.

Long story short, it’s a great release from them, the type that feels like those old days of our labels here, when the releases were always something you had to explain to your non horror friends who wouldn’t ever understand why you’d buy them haha.

Not that I’m knocking the expansion and evolution of these labels, far from it, but those early days of the reissue game had something I miss now and then.

Prowler is great.

Hey that's nice @Revolver_OcelScott I have the expanded soundtrack boxsets for each of those but if I'd known that theyre was gonna be a condensed trilogy boxset, I might have gone for that, because I'm not sure when I'll actually spin 16 discs worth of LOTR soundtrack :P Box looks good

I had missed out on the Fellowship Expanded so I gave up completely, was very glad to have this condensed set. It's a very nice release!
