@Texas That rock music sister record is also great, usignolo, don't remember the title now. Waiting on your impressions on THE Open Air record though. Isn't that reissue coming on now?

spinning something that i consider a super classic. personally i would rate it as Gianni Mazza's best record. a repress is long overdue as this does not show up too often. some tracks appear on one of those old Black Cat comps but for me the whole record is great...

more classic material. love the fact that this really might have been used for scoring somehow someway because the tracks Motuproprio and Polyphony have a small marking on the sleeve. got this straight out of an old italian studio so these two markings must have a meaning. funnily this battened copy from ebay from 2016 has a marking on the Motuproprio track, too. must have been a italian favourite...

@million I have looked a long time for this one! I have La Città 1 and Thrilling but have never been able to find La Città 2 or my big want on Fly, Cross Way.

@steve open air is a dream, it is a bold and ambitious record fusing disparate styles you wouldn't think go together. And I do like the Usignolo, I need the companion which is Disco Music. Also I have been looking for one called Bands Harmony. They aren't like super hyped but also don't turn up much either.

Do those really contain the same music? Or is it an error in the Discogs Database to combine those two?

I've said it before, and I'll now say it again:

The closest I've ever come to the madness which you afficianados deal with is when I flirted with collecting private press LPs for about ten minutes and VERY quickly realised that I would lose my shirt, my girl and my ever-lovin sanity (in no particular order!)

This thread gives me the goddam cold sweats. Good luck brothers.

Haha! I'm here seriosly laughing about that coincidence! Funny how it works like that.

I've also got a friend, Roope who is catching loads of boxes of library lps. Hes getting 20 de wolfes soon. I get so jealous and a bit sad honestly when he gets the best deals around. I sometimes get to buy his records that he doesnt need. I need to be as alert as him I quess, to catch the real deal. Unforgiving stuff I agree Scojo!

yeah, it's quite funny because the best deals on library you make in the wild. record shops want to sell their stuff actually. only the super rare stuff does not turn up and if it does, you have to pay big bucks. looking forward to see hat DeWolfe you can get!

That depends, in the wild here all we see is US library and occasionally some UK. And the US (and I think the majority of UK stuff too) is spotty at best, or filler, or all 15 second news cues, or classical, or just plain God awful. One time I dropped the needle on 200+ records from a big library collection, all the same mystery label. So, so terrible. And then someone traded a Rene Costy Small Group Sounds, they sold it for $300. Some others they've had literally for years, priced $40-80, labels like Omnimusic and Impress.

So maybe in Europe, certainly not in the US. One day I hope to find an intact Capitol Media Music collection.
