It was with some trepidation that I placed my big trouble in little China red splatter on my table today for the first time finally. Fortunately I got lucky and mine is a-ok. A small pop here and there at first but all sides played ok. Phew.

@Hatter what problems did you expect? The only issue with mine is that it has quite a bit of surface noise, something I don't often pick up on with out listening to with headphones but was audible on the main speakers (even my wife could tell it was there).

@static, I'm not sure why but that NOTLD variant looks like the perfect color LP that should be playing on that turntable.

@revolver my copy of Snatcher should be here today! It looks like you have the new blue pressing right?

This is pretty good, I've listening to it more than expected

It's Morricone, I don't know why I thought I wouldn't listen to it a lot

Curious what your thoughts are on that OST. I have mixed feelings, it's not bad at all, it leans a little too much on JC for inspiration but there is definitely some good stuff on there. I overall felt kind of indifferent to it after my first few listens. It didn't strike me like Turbokid OST did.

I agree on being very JC-esque. I did enjoy it a lot, but agreed on liking Turbo Kid more. Different types of scores though!

It was great, loved it. "Blind" bought it because I already had Policenauts, wasn't disappointed!

This is an interesting record. I have no idea what the movie would be about based on the cover and music. There's a guy getting grabbed by a cop, a guy sitting eating a 3 foot long sandwich in a city, the same guy talking to a woman in a bikini, and the music is based in a harmonica blues style. My only guess is something to do with Chicago?? Probably a comedy.

In the middle of the A side there is a real ripper of a track called Little Shakie Girl with some top notch pocket playing and a funky jazz flute solo. The B side has The Loop, a great bop jazz track. There are two jazz guitars, so I'm guessing that they cut this when Barney Kessel was over playing with Pes. Although Kessel doesn't get credited I think it is him. I should mention, Pes is credited on all tracks with Trovaioli although only Trovaiolis name is on the front cover. The B side has a few quality blues and western instrumentals. There are also three different versions of the main theme song Somewhere God Is Crying which grows on you because it's a pretty good arrangement.
