@inks - If you have a favorite F13 use that as an excuse to not buy them all, heh. Manfredini’s themes reoccur throughout, of course. I have heard the theme from part III many times over the years with all the remixes, and it’s a favorite of mine. I really enjoyed the full standalone listen of part IV, possibly more than II or V. The first album is interesting to analyze first hearing those classic sounds being developed.

It is. Don't know if you saw it, but a couple of weeks ago I posted about this album in the Void Recordings STBC thread. This album came out in August, and I just found out about it. It's unused tracks from the Insidious trilogy.

Oooh. How is this, Reddye?
It's quite good! I just finished listening to it. To start off, this is probably the first time in a long time that my Sacred Bones release wasn't slightly warped or noisy, so that was a pleasant surprise. The first LP is more song-oriented. It has the two tracks from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me -- A Real Indication and The Black Dog Runs at Night. Side A had the most "jazz" feel to it, with the second side going a bit darker. A bunch of the songs did have vocals similar to what is on A Real Indication -- Badalamenti going cool-jazz nuts. I had been hoping that there would be a couple of sultry songs that were more similar to The Pink Room off Fire Walk With Me but no such luck.

However, the winner for me was the second LP. Each side was one track, and both of them were these dense, dark growlers -- tracks that you could imagine on a compilation with SunnO))). They were both still extremely listenable -- not something so far over into noise. Overall, definitely worth picking up.

And probably my final listen of the night.

I picked this up for a dollar a few years back, filed it away and never actually listened to it. It's a great track! Nini Rosso, And Hope to Die.

oh now, this just pisses me off haha. Mine has been in "preshipment" since October 29th, and I'm a county away.

Can't wait for it to arrive.
