I love this movie and score unconditionally. Waxwork have effin' crushed it with their expanded reissue - Killian Eng straight up murdering fools with his artwork as ever. Hi-gloss gatefold sleeve is built like a vinyl fortress, housing and protecting The Precious. Mastering and pressing are world class. It might have cost me over 40 bones here across the pond, but I feel every penny of the outlay in this top notch release.

This score is phantastic! Phenomenal, even...

Please do, Brother S! I fear I'll be waiting a little while for my retail pre-order to actually show up, and these questions need addressing!! :)

I had a copy in my cart a few weeks ago when they put a few copies on their site and they had a bad redirect in the buying process when switching from Paypal back to their site (spelling error in cart I believe) and I missed out, I should just put my credit card into the site. I was pretty upset at that because it was in my cart, I had already finished the paypal process but I couldn't' actually get back to tiger lab to complete the purchase properly :(
I bought it during that rush too. Just sat on their website f5ing like mad and managed to grab it. I don't doubt that they'll repress it. They've been asking people if they want them to
Well I'm holding you personally responsible for me not obtaining this then :P I did see that Jon asked on twitter if people were interested in a repressing but I didn't see a huge response which bummed me out. I can dream though.

edit: Tiger Lab posted on twitter - Lots of good news coming soon
I replied - I hope it's a new release and a repress of the blue variety
He responded - There is blue in your future

Very excited and happy to finally own this thing at some point down the line.

Good to hear that's a great release, it's the only one I'm interested out of the three they did in that batch. I prefer DW's Profondo Rosso tracklist and art compared to WW. And Inferno isn't a score I listen to often enough to spend the money on it.

Nice and quiet pressing (The splatter at least). There is some light tape hiss during some cues.

During “Michael kills Judith” you can very faintly hear Judith call out Michael’s name at the point in the cue when she is stabbed. Like really faint and muffled.

So far a very interesting listen to say the least. :)

UPDATE: a few other instances of really faint muffled dialogue bleed through.

UPDATE 2: creaking door and some more faint dialogue. Dog barking. Annie on the phone. All faint, but it’s there.

@static @ScoJo and other vintage film audio experts - how does that jive with the story of the source material? Would you expect dialog to "bleed through" into the original audio like that? I do not know enough about how the separate tracks are recorded into the film reel to understand what is possible in this situation.

Wow! That is truly fascinating... as @deaf says, it's odd that there is bleed, considering stems were used in the mastering - I think there is, perhaps, a little more to this story than Messers DW and Howarth are letting on ;)

It is foggy as heck here, too. Quite the Autumn here in Cascadia.

You are a painter, my brother.

Beautiful autumn day here nursing mildly-buzzy post gig hangover...should be working but I'm calling it quits and curling up with book of Susan Hill short stories, and when my gf gets home I plan a screening of Drag Me to Hell (it must be a Raimi Thing since this and Evil Dead are the only horror flicks we have ever watched together, and she enjoyed without getting freaked out)
