I pulled the trigger and here are the results:

The mastering sounds like it could be great, but my playback also sounds a bit hot/distorted in parts possibly from the wobble or the continual surface noise. Very disappointing as I was excited to see they used poly-lined inner sleeves this time and the vinyl looked clean at first glance. Sadly, both discs are very warped. Feeling a bit depressed about all this.

Bull Moose, woo woot! That is where I usually go now, to the one in Salem, NH. I used to hit up Newbury in Boston and Cambridge when I lived in Somerville. These days, the store is filled mainly with tchotchkes and has a poor music selection.

Me, too. Back in the day, I used to make sojourns to Newbury, Tower, and the Coop (their music section was actually pretty good). But I'm a Granite Stater at heart and once I discovered Bull Moose, that was where it was at for me.

Small world in here. I used to live in Newmarket, NH for about 5 years. I frequented Bull Moose in Portsmouth most often but made trips to quite a few in the NH/MA/ME region. Occasionally made my way to Newbury Comics but didn't really like the store/vibe of sales folks, so only went when I was in the area and never went out of my way to go.

To this day Bullmoose is one of my favorite record shops.

Slasher Dave "Frights" up for pre-order at 20 Buck Spin. Interestingly, for the most limited variant (100 count, glow in the dark), they say that glow in the dark degrades sound and that they won't take returns because of it. Why offer a variant that can sound crappy off the bat? But it's pretty while it plays ...

Reddye I didn't even read that about the GITD variant...I went straight for the black this AM. I'm actually listening to the advance track I got now. Been following Slasher Dave/Acid Witch for a while now, love all their stuff.

As for the NE corridor record stores, guys I implore you to check out the Newbury Comics in Norwood, MA if you're ever in the area. It has the biggest vinyl selection I've ever seen and a dedicated soundtrack section where I've seen/scored many great buys. They do have the corny clothing/toys/bullshit as well, but the store is huge.

Maybe when I come home for the Holidays, all of the available New Englanders/Northeasterners can go for a group dig somewhere centrally located.

His shipping is free and fast, usually has some small discount which is close or equal to 2HD and he's super easy to get into contact with for questions and issues (unlike 2HD). Some of his prices can a be a touch high but no shipping fees usually level out or end up being a few dollars less in the end.

edit: does that NOTLD OST have some really long songs on it or did that album not have to be two LPs?
It's not really free shipping when the price is adjusted up to include media rate in the price!

Oct 19 release date.

Sold out yesterday at THD. SOme up at musicdirect.

Waiting for an official Sacred Bones drop (hopefully a nice deluxe edition).
I am told I'll be able to get 1 or 2 of the orange and *maybe* four of the black. This is truly limited.

Doxy just straight not giving a fuck that this has been properly reissued a couple of times recently. They're just gonna shit out a grey market release because why not, and half price books will gladly put in a wholesale order for 1000 copies.

@deaf I finally heard back from Ben at 2HD last night. He says my order was delayed because they're waiting to get more DoD in. It's all over my fucking IG feed, makes me nervous itchy I'll miss out. I'm dreading the "out of stock/refund" email. Pessimism aside, it sounds like there are still copies.

I'm guessing those 666 red vinyl copies are long gone... amazon.co.uk is now saying 1-2 months until shipment, which sounds like waiting for a second pressing. Although I would have been happy with a numbered copy or whatever, I'll take a straight up black vinyl pressing.

MOV marketed this release first with first pressing of 666 copies, but at some point changed it to 1000 copies.

Here are Ben's exact words:

"I hope this isn't our first reply I notice three attempts here to contact us how strange. I believe were waiting on Daughters Of Darkness combining orders allows us the opportunity to offer free shipping. Copies of DOD are in route to us now all orders are scheduled to ship this week."

Not very clear, sorry.

MoV will press more, I would be pretty confident. 1000 red ones today, and watch it'll be 1000 clear ones down the road and black vinyl run. Look at Lost Highway. Yellow one, then black, then another run in blue, and the next year Interscope repressed it like two or three more times.
