I have the digital copy of this and I seem to remember that they were a rerecording but i'm not 100% on that. either way, i'm for sure gonna try to pick that up, fun score.
yes, you are correct there was a CD, actually the first LaLaLand release before they were lalaland.

super bummed on this. i was working on trying to get the rights earlier this year, with a family member of Steiner family and i think the wife of Romero but no one moves as fast as you want them to.

Whoa, that's a bummer, MW. You would've slayed it. Does that mean that there were simultaneous rights negotiations going on or that you were negotiating with different parties/sources?

there's no drama, i'm just lazy. i never got to any negotiating stage, and it just fell off my radar.

What is currently live on Sacred Bones but not announced yet is a release by the Thought Gang, which is Badalamenti and Lynch. There is, of course, a limited edition:

edsawesomesounds is easily becoming one of my favorite places to order LPs from. His shipping is free and fast, usually has some small discount which is close or equal to 2HD and he's super easy to get into contact with for questions and issues (unlike 2HD). Some of his prices can a be a touch high but no shipping fees usually level out or end up being a few dollars less in the end.

edit: does that NOTLD OST have some really long songs on it or did that album not have to be two LPs?

How are they making money on that? I can't see that lasting for long, especially if tons of people start using it.

It doesn't last long, they change it almost every week but hey utilize it while you can. He runs a pretty low key operation. Definitely saves on packaging by shipping in some recycled containers. Which I have no problems with as long as it's protected.

My Annihilation arrived slightly damaged from them, but not enough for me to bother trying to contact them. Otherwise my other orders have been freat.

What state is Eds Awesome Sounds based out of?

I've never ordered from them before.

I recently ordered from the "regular" place again and received a partial order...something was "backordered"...

Nice! There was an online ship that was a one man show selling out of his apartment. I noticed he lived in my town and I asked "I know this might sound off, but instead of shipping it and allowing it to possibly get damaged can I meet you nearby" and he was all about it. Saves them in the long run too by not having to ship and cash transaction.

I've done that a few times actually, if i see a record on discogs thats selling from a store near me i usually just go there in person now, after having ordered and made that realization a bunch of times.

First time i ever bought something off a member here we realized we were both in NY and just met up in person.

And that is how we heal the world of the sickness of the internet.

I never use the ATM by my office. Rather I saunter in and exclaim "I want to interact with a real human." I'm only 37, but feel like the internet is accelerating the aging process.

The Newbury Comics in Attleboro (before they moved into the damn MALL up the street...went there once, never went back) was my spot. I bought so many CDs there back in the day when I was just getting into music.

I never made the Attleboro location. Might've been before my time. I rarely made it south of Boston where Newbury was concerned, honestly. I was more of a Bull Moose guy.
