Last week I impulsively bought a copy of the limited to 100 second pressing variant of Real Gone's True Romance. Half a day later I cancelled that order because I thought why would I pay around $80 including shipping and customs for something I already have...

Sure, no problems in double dipping but then the second version should add something. This time it did not.

I don't know why but my brain has always read his name as DeLuca even though it's LoDuca. It's been years and every time I look at his name I have to correct myself but I just can't get it to stick. It's so strange.

Also that looks awesome ScoJo, is that an original pressing?

I know what you mean, Inks- I always have to check his name... Loduca, DoLuca, LaDuca, DeLuca....yeesh!

Yep, this is a n.mint Varese original and just looking at the sleeve always gives me super-feels. I vividly remember gravitating to the soundtrack album section in Virgin megastore, and discovering LPs of all my favourite horror/sci-fi movies. Mostly with a distinctive round 'IMPORT' sticker and little silver import seal. I've had to buy most of those originals back in the last decade, because I'm a dope and sold them at some point doh, but was very lucky to get this one back in my life for fairly reasonable dollars before prices went cray cray.
I'm really keen to see what my response will be to the 'reimagined' version. The original score, with it's delicate piano parts, sawing strings and distinctive drone synth, is soooo incredible, but LoDuca is a great composer and I'm sure he's reworked it in interesting ways.

This original VS has been on my want list for a while. Vinyl and sleeve are in very nice condition.

I can't say I'm super familiar with Evil Dead's score, I've seen the movie so many times but don't think I've listened to the score by itself ever. I have listened to the re-imagined version. It was a fun listen but I felt like if I was going to spend the money on an Evil Dead score it should be the original one. I will eventually listen to them track by track to see exactly what he did, I'm just not familiar enough with the music to do it from memory.

So excited that I actually own a copy of this. Very clean, no surface noise, excellent pressing. It's my favorite OST from the original Mega Man games.

What's the soundtrack music like to "The Point"? I haven't seen that movie since I was a wee one.

Ryuichi Sakamoto - Royal Space Force: Wings Of Honneamise OST

Really great synth ost with an obvious YMO vibe going on courtesy of Sakamoto. Im half way through the anime which is beautifully made, well worth checking out.

How is it? It's effing amazing Brother. And of course James Michael is the one to have it on his deck. Great pull.
