I have a question for the TD heads amongst us: Do you prefer the LP version with just the Tangerine Dream tracks or the version with Safan's Confrontation included at the expense of TD's Beach Scene?

You already know what I'm gonna say, I suppose - you need to have both releases! I had the UK OG pressing forever, and was always waiting to score a good condition US edition at the right price - but then Audio Fidelity repressed it in 2015 and I jumped upon it. No regrets!

It's a shame that you can only have both tracks together on the 2013 CD release :(

This is a pretty interesting fan page that details the multifarious releases and differences (including the OG French pressing which re-titled Igneous as Metascore!)

@Evan - I have been unable to land a copy of Klute. Even the bootleg reissue is going for high amounts of cash lately. Hoping to see another pressing surface for a reasonable price.

My prefered version is the one with Confrontation.

That's cheating. Cool website, by the bye.

I have the Audio Fidelity repress of that and like it quite a bit, but I was listening to a more complete version digitally this past weekend and Beach Scene is such a good cut that I think I may be double dipping like our fence-sitting buddy from "o'er there".

Thankfully it’s not an expensive one to double dip on.
