What else did you get from Japan? Looking forward to see more treasures.

Didn't go too crazy this time Bez, as Sapporo only has about 4 or 5 independent record shops compared to what must be many times more in Tokyo... but will try and do you a group photo.... to follow ;)

Here's a teaser of a couple of my Godzilla-related faves picked up on the trip in the meantime... an album and a really old looking 7-inch with some killer cover art.

A bit of background info I found on the Internet: "OSTINATO is a 1986 album by Akira Ifukube that recreates and updates many tracks from several of his scores for kaiju films from the Showa era."

Just picked this up, its unofficial but sounds great, but i can't seem to to find ANY information about it. Good sound quality, and the cover is on nicely textured card stock. also there was an iron on patch inside the sleeve.

I'm dj'ing at an outdoor screening of Night in the grounds of a castle tomorrow- will be airing some cues from this. One of the LPs I have which gives me genuine chills to listen to (in every way)

a place called the Archive, a record/movie store that Vinegar Syndrome runs in Connecticut about an hours drive from me. the next time i go i'll see if they have a second copy, i feel like they might have.

I can't find anything about this release, but it sound great, side b has a lot of dialogue from the dinner scene, and its super short, but lovely.

Ahh man- I would be extremely grateful of a hookup. Let me know and I'll make it worthwhile with showered gifts upon your house. I would actually snag 2x of these if it was possible ;-)

And Dude, there is literally nothing on this release, no text beyond the title and a quite on the back, but the sleeve is a pretty flashy print job. nicely textured, good card stock, my studio at work would charge a premium for it. the center labels are just grainy close up shots form the movie, but all very well done. all i know if that it apparently doesn't exist anywhere, it sounds greta, and it was under $50.

I'll keep my eye open the next time i go there, the store is made for people like us.

Static please add me to the list that you're going to give to Hatter.

And then throw away that other list I gave you. I can't have people seeing what's on that thing.

I feel like I'm missing out with all these lists floating around.
