I dug the trailer! I know that's not the general consensus though.

Shane Black hasn't delivered a dud yet, I just don't believe he's capable of making a bad Predator picture.

So excited to finally have this in my collection. Bummed that my receiver decided to not work at all yesterday so I couldn't even listen to it :(

Hopefully I'll have better luck today

It's been a struggle. It's been at the shop twice in the last 3 months, the last time they had it for an entire month and they said it didn't have the problem once in all their testing. I get it home and with in 5 minutes it's doing the exact same thing it was. And to top it off it is happening even more frequently and being out of commission for longer.

For those that are wondering the problem is that at some point after being turned on (could be 2 minutes, sometimes an hour or two or never) there will be an audible "thump", which you can see push the drivers of the speakers outwards then all audio cuts out completely and you are left with a low but audible hum in the speakers. This is on all inputs, when the audio cuts out the only way I can get audio back is to turn off the receiver and leave it off for hours. Sometimes I'll turn it on and the sound comes back, other times it's still just humming. It sucks as there are only two guys in my area that repair stereo equipment, one who is a scum bag who takes peoples money and doesn't fix shit and the other is one the I brought it to, who is a very nice guy and seems to know his stuff, he just couldn't figure out what's happening with it.

You're probably right, I've had it for 26 years and it's served me well, it's just hard as it's the only thing I have from my step father who passed away in '92. Sentimental value and all. I was willing to spend money to get it fixed but all I did was spend money. It might just get put aside on a shelf somewhere, I don't want to put it in storage.

This....a thousand times this.

Funny lifeforce story I may have told on here already, around last year or so when that Tom cruise mummy reboot was coming out I decided to watch the Fraser version again, fun flick that still holds up in a lot of ways, when suddenly I realize that the desiccated corpses that Imhotep leaves behind him are literally the same props from lifeforce, amazing that they didn’t decay at all....I’m sorry
