@static -

Sir, that Mask sure is one cray-cray LP!

Must doff my cap to Maestro Johnny Williams...

La La Land did an expanded CD a while back so the masters are there.

I had never heard this, went to discogs and found this

https://www.discogs.com/sell/item/587987767

Is that a legit price? That's insane. At least Google Music has it for me to listen to and dream of owning.

I have a used copy coming from Amazon Warehouse tomorrow of this wonderful LP

It was $14, I was pretty happy with that price.

inksb - That Discogs price is ridiculously inflated...sadly a lot of the old stuff has been marked up so high. Thankfully most of this stuff will eventually be freshly reissued.

Lol that guy must list to show off his collection !! I don't know how he sells anything. A good rule of thumb is take any of his prices and divide by 2.5 and maybe that's closer to reality. I don't think I've ever seen a listing of his that's less than double the higher end of what a record might sell for. And he is always relisting his stuff so it's constantly crapping up my "just listed" Discogs emails.

What a fab record fair find this was - utterly charming light jazz orchestral pop score by Grusin for Paul Newman race car flick, has that life-affirming, effortless joy of the best Marvin Hamlisch 60s film tunes, and the upbeat swing of classic early 70s tv themes like Bob James' s Taxi, etc. I'll be playing this a whole bunch.

That's high praise. James' Angela AKA the Taxi theme song is one of my favorite bits of CTI fusion/smooth Jazz. I'll be looking into Winning tout suite.
