Still, if memory serves, folks were mostly complimentary about the fidelity of those two releases.
I only have EFLA, and I'm pretty positive about sound quality on that one. I've been happy with their other pressings, though they were on black vinyl, and not extortionate!

Did anyone pick up the reissued Blade Runner score by Vangelis? I believe it was on black wax instead of the translucent red of the prior reissue. Supposedly the same master, though. I'm curious about what folks think of the sound and pressing quality. Especially if anyone has a/b'd the two. Chin chin.

It's on Amazon for like 13 bucks right now if you're in the US. I have it, sounds great, but I have a very basic setup and can't speak to it's specific quality.

The black pressing is really good....so good I actually moved on my 1st press Audio Fidelity red vinyl to a lovely guy in Japan, who had pockets full of money... ;)

And of course, I also have the damn RSD pic disc version! Tbh, that sounds pretty good also...

Are y'all referring to "BLADE RUNNER (2018 START YOUR EAR OFF RIGHT, INDIE-RETAIL EXCLUSIVE) LP" which is up on TwoHeaded for $22?

Edit: Label is Atlantic

From Andy Votel:

"Remember when GOBLIN met Magnetic System & invented cosmic disco & trip-hop with a post apocalyptic ecological concept album???..no? neither did the record label (Cinevox). Rescued from obscurity by Finders Keepers this ESSENTIAL slice of freak-funk will be liberated THIS WEEK!"

That's good to hear from both of you. The 2013 red AF reissue is one of the finest sounding slabs I have. Barring and emergency, I doubt I'll part ways with it. But I do want to garage it in favor a daily driver provided the replacement is listenable. I read reviews on Discogs and elsewhere that there was some distortion in the low end and that Tears In The Rain, in particular, suffered quite a bit. Of course there were plenty of good ink spilled over it as well, but I heard nary a peep that was less than glowing about that 2013.

The very same, old bean. Rhino had a hand in those as well. Also, it looks like it is not the Kevin Gray master at all, but a reissue of the 2015 master which would explain some of the distortion issues. Curiouser and curiouser.
